The Washington Nationals don’t have anything left to play for the season, but they have a lot of things to be proud of after the year that they have had. Despite having a losing record this season, they have shown a ton of progress in their rebuild and they could potentially be contending once again over the next couple of seasons in the National League East division. With some quality performances throughout the week, they have an opportunity to spoil or delay the Baltimore Orioles party as a Baltimore is still looking to clinch the American League East division in the final week of the regular season. Washington will look to put together a quality performance in this game to put a stop to that for now.

It has been an incredible season for the Baltimore Orioles this year, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling as they try and build up as much as they can before heading into the postseason. They have been the best team in the American League this year, and they have the talent on their roster to win the World Series this season as long as they remain healthy and consistent throughout the postseason. They will be looking to grab a victory in this game on Wednesday night against Washington at home as they close in on 100 victories for the year. That is exactly what I expect as I have Baltimore picking up the win in this game.

New York Yankees @ Toronto Blue Jays – 7:07PM ET

It has been a disappointing season for the New York Yankees, but they have an opportunity to spoil the Toronto Blue Jays playoff hopes with some quality performances throughout the week. They will be looking to grab a victory in this game on Wednesday night against Toronto on the road as they look to finish out the regular season on a high note and gain as much momentum as possible before heading into the offense season. The Yankees had a lot of potential coming into the year but injuries derailed that potential midway through the season and they were never able to recover now they will just be looking to in the regular season on a high note and grab went over Toronto here on Wednesday night in Canada.

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking grab a crucial victory against the New York Yankees here on Wednesday night as they look to take a step forward towards clinching in American League wild-card spot this season. Toronto came into the year with plenty of expectations and they were arguably the favorites to win the American League East division, but that just has not been the case for the Blue Jays this season. As long as they remain healthy and consistent and they were able to clinch a wildcard spot this season, they are serious contender to win the World Series as long as they get hot at the right time. I expect them to grab a victory in this game on Wednesday night against their American League East division rivals.

Miami Marlins @ New York Mets – 7:10PM ET

The Miami Marlins had a solid start to the season, but they collapse after the All-Star break and it is likely going to cost them a spot in the national league playoffs this season. Miami will have to have a strong finish the regular season over the next five days if they want to grab one of the top three spots in the wildcard race and they currently find themselves sitting in fourth place one game out of the third spot coming into this game on Wednesday against the New York Mets. Every game from here on out as a must win game for the Miami Marlins and they will have to get a crucial victory on the road in this game if they want to keep their faint playoff hopes alive.

The New York Mets had one of the highest payrolls in all of baseball coming into the season but they did not live up to their expectations. They have been one of the biggest disappointments in the entire sport this season, and they traded away there to best starting pitchers of the trade deadline, which signal to the fans of the franchise that their rebuilding window is likely going to start soon. New York will be looking to spoil the Miami Marlins playoff hopes with a victory here on Wednesday night at home against Miami as they look to keep Miami out of the third spot in the National League wildcard race coming into the final few days of the regular season. Unfortunately for the New York Mets, I don’t see that happening as I have the Miami Marlins grabbing the victory in this game.

Texas Rangers @ Los Angeles Angels – 9:38PM ET

The Texas Rangers have been heating up at the right time and they have put themselves back into first place of the American League West division coming into the final five days of the regular season. Texas led the American League West division for the majority of the season but if you lengthy losing streaks put them as far back as third place at one point in the year. They have now regained there footing, and they have begun to run away with the division as they have built up nearly a three game lead over the Houston Astros coming into this game on Wednesday night in Los Angeles against the Angels. They will be looking to pick up another victory and take a massive step forward as they look to clinch the division before heading into the final weekend of the regular season. 

The Los Angeles Angels came into the season with plenty of expectations, and that is to be expected when you have two of the best players in the entire sport on your roster. However, much like the last several years, Los Angeles was underwhelming, and they will be missing out on the postseason once again, and the consequences could be even worse this time around. As superstar, Shohei Ohtani will hit free agency over the off-season, and it seems more and more likely that he will leave and look for greener pastures somewhere else as he tries to find a competitive baseball team to win a World Series with. I don’t expect things to get much better for the Los Angeles Angels in this game as I look for Texas to pick up the victory in this one on Wednesday night on the road. 

San Diego Padres @ San Francisco Giants – 9:45PM ET

The San Diego Padres her yet another team that had plenty of expectations coming into the season, but they were unable to live up to those expectations. They have started playing consistent baseball towards the end of the regular season, but it is too little too late for San Diego this season, and it seems like they will be entering a soft rebuild over the offseason as they look to shed salary while remaining competitive with the rest of the National League West division. They will be looking to pick up a crucial victory over the San Francisco Giants as they try and keep their faint playoff hopes alive, coming into the final five days of the regular season. They will have to be perfect from here on out if they want any chance of making one of the three wildcard spots in the National League.

The San Francisco Giants had a quality season, but they have collapse towards the end of the year, and it is likely going to cost them a spot in the postseason. They have fallen behind San Diego and they will have to be perfect and get plenty of help from other teams from here on out if they want to grab the third wildcard spot in the National League. They will be desperate to pick up a crucial victory over San Diego here on Wednesday night at home as they look to keep their fading playoff hopes alive for yet another day. Unfortunately for the San Francisco Giants, I just don’t see that happening as I think San Diego has all the momentum in this series and I expect them to pick up the victory in this game.
