Pittsburgh Pirates @ New York Mets – 1:10PM ET

The Pittsburgh Pirates come into the finale of the series with the New York Mets looking to pick up a victory and head into the weekend with plenty of momentum. Pittsburgh had a fantastic start to the season, but they tailed off as the year progressed and they now find themselves hovering near last place in the National League Central division. They come into the finale of this series, double digit games below .500 on the season but if they can turn things around quickly, they still have an opportunity to salvage their first winning season in a long time. However at this point, it’ll take a major winning streak for the Pittsburgh Pirates to do so.

The New York Mets come into the finale of this series looking to keep grabbing victories to put themselves back into the National League wildcard race. The Mets had plenty of expectations coming into the 2023 Major League Baseball season but they haven’t quite lived up to those expectations this year. New York comes into this game sitting in fourth place of the National League East division, if they fail to win this game there is a possibility they will fall into last place behind the Washington Nationals as well. However, I don’t see that happening as I have the New York Mets picking up the win in this game.  

Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins – 1:10PM ET

The Detroit Tigers had a lead over the Minnesota Twins until midway through the game when Minnesota hit a grand slam to put themselves up for good. Now the Detroit Tigers will be looking to bounce back here on Wednesday afternoon in the finale of this three game series. Detroit is still within striking distance of first place in the American League Central division, but they certainly cannot afford to lose games like this to Minnesota if they want to get themselves back in the conversation for the playoffs. It has been an up-and-down season for the Tigers as they have struggled to be consistent which is something that has shown throughout the series as well.

Minnesota will be looking to capitalize off the momentum from their victory on Tuesday night and use it on Wednesday afternoon to wrap up this series with a victory. With another win here on Wednesday, they would officially take two out of three games from the Detroit Tigers in this series at home and continue to put distance between themselves and the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Central division. Minnesota will be looking to avoid collapsing much like they did last year coming down the final stretch of the season and I expect them to avoid that collapse at least for now with another victory in this game over to Detroit on Wednesday afternoon

Arizona Diamondbacks @ Colorado Rockies – 3:10PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks held a steady lead over the Colorado Rockies in their game against each other on Tuesday night. However, late in the game in the bottom of the seventh inning Colorado took the lead but unfortunately they collapsed in the top of the ninth. Arizona was able to recover, and now they will be looking to grab another win here on Wednesday night against the Colorado Rockies as they look to avoid the season slipping away with another crushing loss. Arizona has now fallen to .500 on the season to a record of 60-60 through the first 120 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. They will be looking to grab with victory in the finale of the series against Colorado to take two two out of three games from the Rockies. 

The Colorado Rockies had a solid comeback in last night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, before blowing it in the ninth to allow the Diamondbacks to pick up the victory. Now they will be looking to pick up their second victory of the series against the Arizona Diamondbacks as they look to take two out of three from a struggling Arizona team here on Wednesday afternoon at Coors Field. Colorado isn’t having the best season, so grabbing some victories like this is certainly momentum boosting despite the fact that they have nothing left to play for this year. However, unfortunately for the Colorado Rockies, I don’t see them getting the victory in this one, as I have the Arizona Diamondbacks picking up the victory.

Tampa Bay Rays @ San Francisco Giants – 3:45PM ET

Tampa Bay put up double digit runs in the opening game of their series against the San Francisco Giants on Monday night. Tuesday’s game started off a lot slower as it was scoreless until the middle innings. Coming into the series. Tampa Bay had been struggling a little bit much like they have since coming out of the All-Star break in general and they will be looking to use this series to get back on track. They will be looking to gain more ground on the Baltimore Orioles for first place in the American League East division, and they can do that with a victory here in the series finale on Wednesday afternoon against the San Francisco Giants. 

It has been a solid season for the San Francisco Giants and they will be looking to wrap up this series with another victory, as they look to keep peace in the National League wildcard race. They currently hold onto the second spot in the National League wildcard race, as they are less than two games behind the Philadelphia Phillies at the moment. Unfortunately for the San Francisco Giants, I don’t see that happening in this game as I look for the Tampa Bay rays to pick up the victory here on Wednesday afternoon to close out this series.

Cleveland Guardians @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians picked up a series opening victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday night. Now they will be looking to complete the quick two game sweep with another victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday night. Cleveland will be looking to pick up their conservative victory on the year and try and gain some ground on the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central division. Cleveland comes into the second game of this series with a record of 58-62 through their first 120 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. 

The Cincinnati Reds come into this game looking to bounce back in this game after being shut out by the Cleveland Guardians in the opening game of this series by a score of 3-0. Cincinnati will have to be a lot more productive at the plate in the second game of this series on Wednesday night if they want to send Cleveland home while splitting the series at one game apiece. Cincinnati comes into the second game of this series with a record of 62-59 through their first 121 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. As for the result of this game, I have the Cleveland Guardians picking up the victory and completing the two game series sweep.
