Tampa Bay Rays @ Baltimore Orioles – 12:35PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles will be playing the fourth and final game of their four game weekday series in this one. In game number one it was Baltimore who got the win. In game number two, Baltimore added another win. In game three Tampa Bay won.

Tony Battalio

The Tampa Bay Rays finally notched their first win of this series and now they will be looking to secure a split of this four game series on Thursday afternoon. The Rays earned a hard fought win in extra innings to take home a 6-4 victory over their American League East division rivals. They now come into Thursday’s finale with a record of 53-45 through their first 98 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Rays have won five out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a one game winning streak.

The Baltimore Orioles will be looking to bounce back in the finale of this four game series after losing their first game of the series on Wednesday evening. They still have a huge opportunity to take three out of four games with a win on Thursday afternoon and it’s a very real possibility that they will get the job done. The Orioles come into this game with a record of 49-49 through their first 98 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. I have them winning the finale of this series as well.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Baltimore Orioles

It will be the series finale in this AL East battle between the Baltimore Orioles and Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday. The Rays got their first win of the series on Wednesday in game three by a score of 6-4 in 10 innings on the road. Randy Arozorena hit the game-winning double in the top of the 10th to give them their 53rd win of the season. The Orioles had won three of four games prior to that loss and should still be feeling really good about how things are going at the moment.

They’ve finally climbed out of last place in the AL East and are just 4 games back in the wild card race. Jordan Lyles getting this start however mKes it hard to back the home team in this one. He just gave up 6 runs to the Rays on July 17 and just isn’t the most reliable guy out there. I’m going to roll with Tampa to win this one and get the split in the series after losing the first two games.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick:

Tampa Bay Rays

The Baltimore Orioles are fourth in the AL East with a 49-49 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and currently lead 2-1 in the series against the Rays. The Orioles are 21st in the league scoring 4.28 runs per game and are ranked 14th in the league allowing 4.33 runs per game. Baltimore will start Jordan Lyles tonight who is 6-8 for the season with a 4.79 ERA. The Orioles have won 9 of the last 13 home games and 7 of the last 11 games following a loss.

The Tampa Bay Rays are third in the AL East with a 53-45 record. Last night’s 6-4 win over the Orioles put an end to the Rays’ four-game losing streak. The Rays are 22nd in the league scoring 4.21 runs per game and are ranked 6th in the league allowing 3.99 runs per game. Tampa Bay will start Ryan Yarbrough tonight who is 0-5 for the season with a 5.61 ERA. The Rays have won 8 of the last 11 games against AL East opponents and 7 of the last 10 games played on Thursday.

Marko’s MLB Pick:

Baltimore Orioles

Cleveland Guardians @ Boston Red Sox – 7:10PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians and Boston Red Sox will be playing the fourth and final game of their four game weekday series in this one. In game number one the Boston Red Sox got the win. While the Cleveland Guardians bounced back with a win in game number two. In game three the Guardians added another win.

Tony Battalio

The Cleveland Guardians jumped out to a huge lead early on before the game was tied heading into the late innings. After Boston took the lead the Guardians bounced back to take the lead in the top of the ninth inning on a Josh Naylor homerun. Then they closed the door in the bottom of the inning to win their second straight game against the Boston Red Sox and take a two games to one lead over Boston heading into the series finale. The Guardians come into this game with a record of 50-47 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season.

The Boston Red Sox will be looking to bounce back after losing two straight games to the Cleveland Guardians heading into the series finale. They are coming into game four of this series with a record of 49-50 through their first 99 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in last place of the American League East division at the moment as they are in a huge skid at the moment. They have lost eight out of their last ten games on the season. I have them losing this series finale as well.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Cleveland Guardians (-115)

Jeffery Thomas

The Cleveland Guardians rallied late on Wednesay to escape Fenway Park with a narrow 7-6 victory and have secured at least a split in this series between AL teams. Myles Straw hit an RBI double in the top of the 8th to make it a six-all tie before Josh Naylor went deep for the game-winning home run an inning later. It’s just more misery for the Red Sox as they are now just 1-7 in their last eight and losers of 15 of their last 19 games. Kutter Crawford gets the start for Boston on Thursday in what will be his second ever appearance versus Cleveland.

He faced them last season and allowed five runs in just 2 innings so the Guardians will be hoping for similar success this time around. Triston McKenzie has never faced the Red Sox but is having an elite stretch right now and should be able to continue it against this struggling opponent. McKenzie is 3-0 in his last four starts and has only given up one run total. He will lead his guys to victory in this one with another stellar outing.

Cleveland Guardians (-115)

The Boston Red Sox are on the bottom of the AL East with a 49-50 record. They have lost 5 of the last 6 games and are currently 1-2 down in the series against the Guardians. The Red Sox are 12th in the league scoring 4.61 runs per game and are ranked 24th in the league allowing 4.77 runs per game. Boston will start Kutter Crawford tonight who is 2-3 for the season with a 4.50 ERA. The Red Sox have lost 4 of the last 5 home games against teams with a winning record and the last 4 games played on Thursday.

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 50-47 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off back-to-back wins over the Red Sox. Cleveland is 15th in the league scoring 4.50 runs per game and is ranked 16th in the league allowing 4.36 runs per game. The Guardians will start Triston McKenzie tonight who is 7-6 for the season with a 3.11 ERA. Cleveland has won 4 of the last 5 games played on Thursday and has lost 10 of the last 14 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick:

Boston Red Sox (-105)

Seattle Mariners @ Houston Astros – 8:10PM ET

The Seattle Mariners and Houston Astros will be playing the first game of their four game weekend series in this one. These two American League West division teams have met five times so far this season. The Houston Astros currently lead the season series nine games to six heading into the final series between the two teams this season.

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Mariners are coming into this game with a record of 54-45 through their first 99 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won seven out of their last ten games on the year. They have won their last three games in a row and they are currently in second place of the American League West division. The Mariners are making a serious playoff push as the second half of the 2022 Major League Baseball season is continuing and they are a young team with a ton of talent who could make some noise in the postseason.

The Houston Astros are absolutely reeling coming into the series with the Seattle Mariners as they are coming off of a three game series where they were swept by the Oakland Athletics during the week. The Astros come into game one of this series with a record of 64-35 through their first 99 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won six out of their last ten games on the season but come into this game on a three game losing streak.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Seattle Mariners (+115)

Jeffery Thomas

The Houston Astros may be leading the AL West but that doesn’t mean they can not be swept out by the last place team in the division. That is exactly what happened this past series as the Oakland Athletics finished off their sweep of Houston with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday. It’s the first time they’ve been swept all year and it just shows the randomness of this sport that the worst team in the entire conference can give them so many issues. They now travel back home, hoping for better success against another division rival in the Seattle Mariners.

The Mariners just got a sweep of their own over the Texas Rangers and are now looking to avenge their 3 consecutive losses to the Astros just last weekend. Rookie phenom Julio Rodriguez was not available for that series though and he will be this time around, so look for Seattle to be a lot more competitive, even on the road.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick:

Seattle Mariners -1.5 (-175)

The Houston Astros are on top of the AL West with a 64-35 record. The Astros have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 0-3 series loss to the Oakland Athletics. The Astros are 14th scoring 4.51 runs per game and are ranked third in the league allowing 3.45 runs per game. Houston will start Jose Urquidi tonight who is 9-4 for the season with a 3.93 ERA. The Astros have won 19 of the last 26 games against teams with a winning record and 49 of the last 70 opening games of a series.

The Seattle Mariners are second in the AL West with a 54-45 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 3-0 series win over the Texas Rangers. The Mariners are 23rd in the league scoring 4.15 runs per game and 5th in the league allowing 3.82 runs per game. Seattle will start Logan Gilbert tonight who is 10-4 for the season with a 2.77 ERA. Seattle has won 6 of the last 7 opening games of a series and 19 of the last 26 road games.

Marko’s MLB Pick:

Houston Astros (-140)

Los Angeles Dodgers @ Colorado Rockies – 8:40PM ET

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies will be playing the first game of their first game of their four game weekend series in this one. These two National League West division teams have met three times so far this season. The Houston Astros currently lead the season series five games to four heading into the fourth series between the two teams this season.

Tony Battalio

The Los Angeles Dodgers are coming into this game as one of the best teams in Major League Baseball so far this season. They currently have a record of 65-32 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They currently lead the National League West by double digit games at the moment. Los Angeles has picked up eight victories in their last ten games of the season. The Dodgers are currently on a one game winning streak.

The Colorado Rockies are currently in last place of the National League West division at the moment. As they come into this series with the Dodgers with a record of 45-54 through their first 99 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are twenty one games out of first place in the division. They have won five out of their last ten games on the season and are currently on a one game winning streak at the moment.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Los Angeles Dodgers (-225)

Jeffery Thomas

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies will meet for the second time this month after it was a clean sweep for LA at home last time around. This time things will be in Denver at Coors Field where the home Rockies should put up a better fight. Colorado was just home for their most recent series with the Chicago White Sox, where they split the quick two-game set. The Dodgers stumbled a bit at home against the Washington Nationals, losing two of three and needing to win on Wednesday to avoid being swept for the first time since last month against the Giants.

Tyler Anderson has a couple starts already this year against the Rockies in their stadium and neither of them have been a win for the pitcher. He had a no-decision back in April and a loss last month where he gave up 10 hits and four earned runs. This obviously isn’t his favorite matchup and with the Dodgers already struggling a bit it’s very fair to expect these Rockies to keep things close.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick:

Colorado Rockies +2.5 (-115)

The Colorado Rockies are in fourth of the NL West with a 45-54 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 1-1 series against the Chicago White Sox. Colorado is 10th in the league scoring 4.67 runs per game and is ranked 28th in the league allowing 5.36 runs per game. The Rockies will start Jose Urena tonight who is 1-2 for the season with a 3.13 ERA. Colorado has won 4 of the last 5 games against NL West opponents and 5 of the last 7 home games.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are on top of the NL West with a 65-32 record. They have won 5 of the last 7 games and are coming off a 1-2 series loss to the Washington Nationals. The Dodgers are ranked second in the league scoring 5.18 runs per game and allow the league lowest 3.32 runs per game. They will start Tyler Anderson tonight who is 10-1 for the season with a 2.79 ERA. The Dodgers have won the last 4 road games and 36 of the last 51 opening games of a series.

Chicago Cubs @ San Francisco Giants – 9:45PM ET

The Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants will be playing the first game of their four game series in this one. These two teams will be meeting for the first time this season. They will play a three game series in Chicago in September.

Tony Battalio

The Chicago Cubs are coming into this game with a record of 40-57 through their first 97 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are in the middle of a six game winning streak at the moment. It could not have come at a better time as just before it they had lost nine games in a row. They are currently in third place of the National League Central division as sit fourteen games back of first place in the division. They have won six out of their last ten games of the year.

The San Francisco Giants are coming into this game with a record of 48-50 through their first 98 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in third place of the National League West division as they sit seventeen and a half games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place. They have lost seven out of their last ten games on the year and are currently on a seven game losing streak at the moment.

Tony’s MLB Pick:

Chicago Cubs (+115)

Jeffery Thomas

The streaky Chicago Cubs got a day off on Wednesday as they are in the midst of another winning streak, this time it’s up to six games. This stretch of wins comes after a nine-game losing streak and this is usually what you get with a young team that isn’t playing for much. There is so much inconsistency but when they have their confidence going it can be dangerous.

The San Francisco Giants are hoping to end that Cubs winning streak and at the same time end their seven-game losing streak that includes two sweeps at the hands of the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. This appears to be a time where we can throw the records out and just look at recent performances to pick a winner. The Cubs have been the better team the past week and there’s no reason to pick this struggling Giants team at the moment.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick:

Chicago Cubs (+115)

The San Francisco Giants are third in the NL West with a 48-50 record. They have lost the last 7 games and are coming off a 0-3 series loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Giants are 5th in the league scoring 4.74 runs per game and are ranked 18th in the league allowing 4.47 runs per game. They will start Alex Wood tonight who is 6-8 for the season with a 4.21 ERA. San Francisco has won the last 8 games against left-handed starter and 5 of the last 6 home games.

The Chicago Cubs are third in the NL Central with a 40-57 record. The Cubs have won the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-0 series win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Cubs are 20th in the league scoring 4.32 runs per game and are ranked 25th allowing 5.00 runs per game. The Cubs will start Justin Steele tonight who is 4-6 for the season with a 4.02 ERA. The Cubs have won 4 of the last 5 games against teams with a losing record and have lost 8 of the last 10 games played on Thursday.

San Francisco Giants (-140)
