The San Francisco Giants are having a great start to the season, their current season record is 23-16. The Giants have only won five out of their last ten games, but does include a series win over the Ranges and the Padres. When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the middle of the league, with an average of 4.4.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are not having the start to the season they would have hoped for, they are currently sitting on a 17-22 season record. They have only won four of their last ten games, but they could be turning things around as they are on a two game winning streak. Unsurprisingly, the Pirates are at the bottom of the pack when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.41.
The three previous games of this mini series have all been close, decided by two runs or less, and it looks like there will be more of the same again on Sunday, just who can fall across the line. You can’t keep a good thing like the Giants down for too long, so we like the look of them to bounce back, also they are 4-1 in their last five games played on a Sunday.

Chicago Cubs @ Detroit Tigers – 1.10PM ET
This Sunday afternoon clash between the Chicago Cubs and the Detroit Tigers will be the third and final game of this mini series. The first game was played on Friday, where the Cubs drew first blood, winning 4-2. The Tigers were able to strike back on Saturday, narrowly winning 9-8 in the tenth innings.
The Chicago Cubs are having an alright start to the season, but they would have probably liked a few more wins under their belt by now, their current season record is 18-19.
The Cubs have won six out of their last ten games, including a series win over the Dodgers, as well as a series loss to the Pirates. When it comes to average runs scored per game, they are in the middle of the league, with an average of 4.4.
The Detroit Tigers are not having the start to the season they would have hoped for, they are currently sitting on a 13-25 season record. Despite this season’s record, they have also won six of their last ten games, like the Cubs, which includes a series win over the Royals. Unsurprisingly, the Tigers are at the bottom of the pack when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 3.43.
Although the Cubs went down to the Tigers in their most recent clash, it probably came as a shock to a lot of people, and we don’t expect it to happen again. Back the Cubs to bounce back quickly and take the victory in the third game as well as the mini series.

New York Mets @ Tampa Bay Rays – 1.10PM ET
This Sunday afternoon clash between the New York Mets and the Tampa Bay Rays will be the third and final game of this mini series. The Rays were back at it again on Saturday, but flexed their muscles and showed complete dominance, winning 12-5.

When it comes to average runs scored per game, the Mets are at the bottom of the pack with an average of 3.6.

The Rays are also having a pretty decent start to the season, they have a winning record of 22-19 so far. They have won six of their last ten games, which includes a current three game winning streak. The Rays are in the middle of the pack when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 4.18.
The Rays have won the first two games of this mini series, but the Mets are actually 4-0 during their previous four, when it is the third game of a series, and they like playing on Sunday as well, also 4-0 in their last four. Tampa Bay is a good team, but with pitcher Marcus Stroman on the mound for the Mets in this clash, we like the look of the Mets to avoid a clean sweep.

The Houston Astros are having a great start to the season, their current season record is 22-17. They have won eight of their last ten games, and they are currently on a five game winning streak. The Astros are leading the way when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.11, which places them third in the league.
With all the momentum on the Astros side, it is hard to go past them for this game. The Rangers just can’t string together enough form to be able to beat a team that is on fire at the moment. While two of their three wins to the Rangers have been very close, back the Astros to get the clean sweep here on Sunday.

The Chicago White Sox are having a great start to the season, their current season record is 23-15. They have won seven of their last ten games, including a clean sweep of the Twins as well as the Royal earlier this month. The White Sox are leading the way when it comes to average runs scored per game, at 5.43, which places them first in the league.
Looking at the two team season records, last ten games as well as the average runs scored and the fact that the White Sox clean sweeped the Royals earlier in May, people thought it was going to be more of the same in this mini series, but the Royals have put up a great fight, and going into the final game 2-1. The White Sox will have the fire in their belly to not let a team like the Royals get a series win, so they will be out fighting hard for the win.
