Cincinnati Reds @ Pittsburgh Pirates – 1:35PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates will be playing the finale of their three-game series in this one. The series is tied at one apiece after the Reds won on Friday and the Pirates won on Saturday. Now the winner of the finale will clinch the series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Cincinnati Reds have had a rough start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. However, over the last couple of weeks, they have suddenly started winning baseball games once again. They will now be looking for their third straight series victory and second straight series victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates. They have won back to back series against the National League Central division as they have beaten the Pirates and Brewers. They come into this game with a record of 9-25 through their first 34 games of the season.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will be desperate for a win and some momentum in the finale of this series as they will look to avoid losing their second straight series to the Cincinnati Reds. They come into this game with a record of 14-19 through their first 33 games of the season. They are currently in third place in the National League Central division. They are .500 in their last ten games going 5-5. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Cincinnati Reds to get the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Cincinnati Reds (+120)

Jeffery Thomas

The Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates will play their series finale on Sunday at PNC Park. On Saturday the Pirates got their first win of the series after dropping the first two games by a combined score of 12-2. They finally got a good pitching performance, holding the Reds to just one run in the 2-1 victory, and now will look for a split in the series to avoid losing a second series to the Reds in a week.

The Pirates are the only team in the league that has struggled in the head-to-head with the Reds but I like their pitching matchup in this one. Hunter Greene of the Reds has kids of potential and may very well be a star one day but right now he doesn’t have the experience to get it done at this level. He’s 1-5 with an ERA sitting at 7.62 and even against this weak Pirates lineup that won’t get it done. Pittsburgh on the other hand will be starting former All-Star Jose Quintana who is putting together a solid start to the season on his new ball club. Give me the Pirates here to get the split and avoid losing the series to the Reds.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Pittsburgh Pirates (-142)

Marko Nadin

The Pittsburgh Pirates are third in the NL Central with a 14-19 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 3-1 win against the Cincinnati Reds. The Pirates are 24th in the league scoring 3.67 runs per game and 58th allowing 5.45 runs per game. The Pirates will start Jose Quintana tonight who is 1-1 for the season with a 2.70 ERA. The Pirates have won 4 of the last 5 fourth games of a series but have lost 11 of the last 16 games overall.

The Cincinnati Reds are the worst team in the league and they are on the bottom of NL Central with a 9-25 record. Recently they were on a good run, winning three straight games before losing yesterday to the Pirates. The Reds are the team that allows the most runs per game in the league 6.36 and are ranked 13th in the league scoring 4.38 runs per game. Hunter Greene will be their starting pitcher today. He is 1-5 for the season with a 7.62 ERA. The Reds have won 4 of the last 5 games against teams with a losing record.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Pittsburgh Pirates (-142)

Seattle Mariners @ New York Mets – 1:40PM ET

The Seattle Mariners and New York Mets will be playing the finale of their three-game series in this one. The series is tied at one apiece after the Mariners won on Friday and the Mets won on Saturday. Now the winner of the finale will clinch the series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Seattle Mariners and New York Mets are having a great series. These two teams are on completely different trajectories this season. As the Mets are a group of established veterans looking to make a run at the World Series. While the Seattle Mariners are a young team just trying to get into the playoffs for the first time in a long time and end the longest active playoff drought in Major League Baseball. The Mariners come into this game with a record of 15-19 while the Mets are 23-12 on the season.

This game and series could easily go either way as both teams have won a game at this point and on Sunday the winner of the finale will also clinch the series victory. The Mets are in first place in the National League East division while the Mariners are in third place in the American League West division. As for the result of this game, I am going with the New York Mets to pick up the win over the Seattle Mariners to clinch the series victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-134)

Jeffery Thomas

The New York Mets were able to even the score in their series with the Seattle Mariners by notching a 5-4 win on Saturday. It’s been a very compatible series through two games, with both teams getting their wins by just 1 run. Despite having just one hit in the game, Francisco Lindor was the top RBI producer for the victorious Mets, knocking in the first two runs of the game with a single and then a sacrifice fly. The Mets have now alternated between wins and losses for the past four games and are looking for that consistency that had them sitting atop the league for long stretches early on. There’s a good chance that happens with Carlos Carracci taking the mound, as he’s won each of his past two starts and only allowed a combined 2 earned runs. Mariners’ starter Robbie Ray, on the other hand, has given up 9 runs in his last three starts, going just 1-2, and has this very solid Mets lineup to deal with. I’m going with the home Mets to win this finale and the series.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: New York Mets (-134)

Marko Nadin

The New York Mets are on top of the NL East with a 23-12 record. They have won 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 5-4 win over the Seattle Mariners. The Mets are 10th in the league scoring 4.43 runs per game and 4th allowing 3.39 runs per game. Carlos Carrasco will be their starting pitcher tonight who is 3-1 for the season with a 3.19 ERA. The Mets have won the last 4 third games of a series and 22 of the last 32 games going in as favorites.

The Seattle Mariners are third in the AL West with a 15-19 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games. Seattle is ranked 20th in the league scoring 3.96 runs per game and 15th allowing 4.23 runs per game. The Mariners will start Robbie Ray tonight who is 3-3 for the season with a 4.22 ERA. Seattle has won the last 4 games played on Sunday, 4 of the last 5 games against a right-handed starter and 5 of the last 7 interleague games.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Seattle Mariners (+116)

Milwaukee Brewers @ Miami Marlins – 1:40PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers and Miami Marlins will be playing the finale of their three-game series in this one. The series is tied at one apiece after the Brewers won on Friday and the Marlins won on Saturday. Now the winner of the finale will clinch the series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Milwaukee Brewers and Miami Marlins are playing for the series victory in this one as both teams have won a game coming into this series finale on Sunday. The Brewers are having a decent start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season as they come into this game with a record of 21-13 through their first 34 games of the season. As the Brewers find themselves in the first place in the National League Central division. They are 5-5 in their last five games of the season as they have a 2.5-game lead over the St.Louis Cardinals.

The Miami Marlins are having a rough start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this game with a record of 15-18 through their first 33 games of the season. They are currently in fourth place in the National League East division. They are 3-7 in their last ten games of the season and they are currently on a one-game winning streak. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Milwaukee Brewers to get the victory.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (-164)

Jeffery Thomas

The Miami Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers will wrap up their three-game series on Sunday after splitting the first two. On Saturday it was the Marlins who picked up the win in a 9-3 result. After a first-inning home run by Willy Adames to put the Brewers up 1-0, Miami went on to score eight unanswered between innings 4-6 to break the game wide open. It was a big win for a Marlins team who have been struggling in May after a very promising start to the season in April. They came into this game just 2-10 in May and have struggled at the plate, just scoring over 4 runs 3 times. That’s why I’m not overreacting to their win on Saturday and I am going right back to the Brewers to get this win in the finale and bring the series win home. That’s not my official pick for the game, however, as Brandon Woodruff hasn’t been a reliable guy on the mound recently. He’s given up 3 or more runs in each of his last three starts and the Marlins projected starter has given up an average of 4 runs a start in his last four. I see a lot of runs being scored again on Sunday so I’m taking the over.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Over 7 Runs (-120)

Marko Nadin

The Milwaukee Brewers are on top of the NL Central with a 21-13 record. They have won 4 of the last 6 games and are coming off a 9-3 loss to the Miami Marlins last night. The Brewers are fifth in the league scoring 4.97 runs per game and are second hitting 1.39 home runs per game. Defensively, they are 16th in the league allowing 4.24 runs per game. Milwaukee will start Brandon Woodruff tonight who is 3-2 for the season with a 5.97 ERA. Milwaukee has won 10 of the last 14 home games.

The Miami Marlins are 4th in the NL East with a 15-18 record. They have lost 4 of the last 6 games but are coming off a huge win last night against the Brewers. Miami is 15th in the league scoring 4.29 runs per game and 9th allowing 3.85 runs per game. Kaiser Hernandez will be Marlins’ starting pitcher today. He is 2-2 for the season with a 6.37 ERA. Miami has won 14 of the last 19 games as favorites, 17 of the last 24 games on grass, and 19 of the last 27 games played on Sunday.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Milwaukee Brewers (-162)

Boston Red Sox @ Texas Rangers – 2:35PM ET

The Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox will be playing the finale of their three-game series in this one. The series is already technically over as the Boston Red Sox won games one and two and now will be looking to complete the sweep on Sunday in the series finale.

Tony Battalio

The Boston Red Sox have looked great over the weekend as they have won the first two games of this series over the Texas Rangers. They will now be looking to complete the sweep over the Rangers in this one. The Red Sox are having a rough start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season as they come into this game with a record of 13-20 through their first 33 games of the season. They are currently in last place in the American League East division.

The Texas Rangers aren’t having a much better start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They come into this game with a record of 13-19 through their first 32 games of the season. They spent a ton of money over the offseason and so far it’s not paying off for them as they find themselves in last place in the American League West division. As for the result of this game, I am going with the Boston Red Sox to get the victory and complete the series sweep over the Rangers.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox

Jeffery Thomas

The Boston Red Sox will be going for the road sweep on Sunday when they take on the Texas Rangers on Sunday. The Sox came into this series losers of Sox of seven so these matchups with the Rangers are serving as a much-needed confidence boost. The Rangers have now lost three of four games and have a record of 13-19.

The Red Sox are on the shortlist of the most disappointing teams so far this year and have not been a fun team to bet on. Despite the results in the first two games, the Rangers have been playing the better baseball in the last couple of weeks overall and will be throwing out Martin Perez on the mound. He’s only allowed 2 earned runs total in his last four starts (26.1 innings) and I see this as the spot where Texas finally gets a win in the series and avoids the sweep.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Texas Rangers

Marko Nadin

The Texas Rangers are at the bottom of the AL Central with a 13-19 record. They have lost 3 of the last 4 games. Texas is ranked 21st in the league scoring 3.94 runs per game and 23rd in the league allowing 4.55 runs per game. Texas will start Martin Perez tonight who is 1-2 for the season with a 2.10 ERA. The Rangers have won 4 of the last 6 games played on Sunday and 6 of the last 8 games against a right handed pitcher.

The Boston Red Sox are on the bottom of AL East with a 13-20 record which is their worst start in the last 5 years. The Red Sox have won 3 of the last 4 games and are coming off a 11-3 win over the Rangers last night. Boston is ranked 23rd in the league scoring 3.82 runs per game and 11th allowing 4.00 runs per game. The Red Sox will start Austin Davis tonight who is 0-1 for the season with a 2.70 ERA. Boston has won 7 of the last 10 games played on Sunday.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Boston Red Sox

Kansas City Royals @ Colorado Rockies – 3:10PM ET

The Kansas City Royals and Colorado Rockies will be playing the finale of their three-game series in this one. The series is tied at one apiece after the Royals won on Friday and the Rockies won on Saturday. Now the winner of the finale will clinch the series victory.

Tony Battalio

The Kansas City Royals are having a rough season thus far. They come into this game with a record of 11-20 through their first 31 games of the season. They are in last place of what is perhaps the worst division in Major League Baseball, the American League Central division. While they have shown some bright spots through the first month of the season, it is clear that their rebuild is going to last a few more years. They are currently on a one-game losing streak after losing the middle game of this series.

The Colorado Rockies are having a surprisingly decent start to the season. However, people still aren’t sure that they are for real just yet. After a full month of the 2022 Major League Baseball season, they come into this game with a record of 17-16 through their first 33 games of the year. As for the result of this one I am going with the Colorado Rockies to pick up the win over the Kansas City Royals.

Tony’s MLB Pick: Colorado Rockies (-142)

Jeffery Thomas

The Colorado Rockies and Kansas City Royals have split a couple of high-scoring affairs in the first two games of this weekend series and will wrap things up on Sunday. The Rockies evened up things on Saturday with a 10-4 win on the back of unexpected hero Sam Hilliard. Hilliard came into the game with just 6 RBIs on the season but was able to drive in 4 alone in the victory.

The first two games of this series have seen a total of 38 runs (an average of 19 a game) and that’s why we see the total for Sunday’s finale sitting at a robust 11. However, with both starting pitcher’s ERAs sitting above 4.00 and this game being in the altitude at Coors Field I’m comfortable going with the over again, as both teams have been swinging hot bats in this series.

Jeffery’s MLB Pick: Over 11 Runs (-104)

Marko Nadin

The Colorado Rockiers are at the bottom of the NL West with a 17-16 record. After five consecutive wins, they won 10-4 last night against the Kansas City Royals. The Rockies are 8th in the league scoring 4.78 runs per game and second to last when it comes to allowed runs per game with 5.62 per game. Colorado will start Auston Gomber tonight who is 2-3 for the season with a 4.36 ERA. Colorado has won 5 of the last 6 games against a team with a losing record.

The Kansas City Royals are 4th in the AL Central with a 11-20 record. They have lost 5 of the last 7 games. The Royals are 25th in the league scoring 3.64 runs per game and 26th allowing 5.10 runs per game. Kansas City will start Daniel Lynch tonight who is 2-2 for the season with a 4.01 ERA. The Royals have won 5 of the last 7 interleague road games, 5 of the last 7 against NL West teams but have lost 11 of the last 16 games overall.

Marko’s MLB Pick: Colorado Rockies (-142)
