The Tampa Bay Rays will be looking to grab the victory here on Saturday afternoon as they look to prevent Toronto from clinching an American League wildcard spot this season. They will also be looking to bounce back after they were defeated by the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday night by seven runs as the Blue Jays offense put up 11 runs on the Rays pitching staff. Tampa Bay cannot afford to lose any more momentum as they will be competing in the wildcard round of the playoffs and they will have to get hot going into next week. It would be a shame if their historic start to the season ended in a wild card round defeat sending them home a lot earlier than they would’ve anticipated. They will be looking to grab a crucial victory in this game on Saturday afternoon as they look to get back on track at the end of the regular season. 

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to pick up a crucial victory here on Saturday afternoon at home against Tampa Bay. If Toronto can pick up the victory in this game, they will officially clinch themselves a spot in the American League wildcard race with one day left in the regular season. The Toronto Blue Jays came into the season as potential favorites to win the American League East division, and although that didn’t happen, they still have plenty of talent on the roster that is capable of taking this team to a World Series. I expect the Toronto Blue Jays to have another quality performance in this game on Saturday afternoon and for them to pick up the victory over Tampa Bay.

Miami Marlins @ Pittsburgh Pirates – 6:35PM ET

Miami Marlins pulled off a massive come from behind win against the Pittsburgh Pirates in the opening game of the series on Friday night. Miami scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to keep their playoff hopes alive and they now sit firmly in the third wildcard spot in the National League. They also hold the tiebreaker over the Chicago Cubs so with another victory in this game on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Miami would officially clinch a wildcard spot, as the third and final team in the National League this season. They will be looking to do just that here on Saturday night at PNC Park as they look to finally cap off what has been an incredible and surprising season for the Miami Marlins.

The Pittsburgh Pirates will be looking to spoil the Miami Marlins playoff hopes with a quality performance here on Saturday night at home. Pittsburgh controled the majority of the game against Miami in the opening game of the series on Friday night before giving up several runs late in the game and they ended up losing the contest. Now, Pittsburgh will be looking to bounce back in the second game of the series here on Saturday night to even up this series before heading into the regular season finale on Sunday. That is not something I can see happening as I look for the Miami Marlins to grab their second consecutive victory of the series here on Saturday night and officially clinch themselves a wildcard spot.

Chicago Cubs @ Milwaukee Brewers – 7:10PM ET

The Chicago Cubs will have to win the remaining two games if they want to make the playoffs this season and they will need some help from their National League Central division rivals, the Pittsburgh Pirates as well. Coming into their game on Saturday night, a loss or a Miami Marlins win would officially knock out the Chicago Cubs, and it would leave them with nothing left to play for in the finale of the regular season on Sunday. Chicago will be looking to put together a quality performance in this game on Saturday night on the road in Milwaukee as they look to keep their faint playoff hopes alive heading into the final day of the regular season. 

The Milwaukee Brewers have already locked up the National League Central division, and now they will be looking to build up momentum before heading into the postseason next week. They will also be looking to spoil the Chicago Cubs playoff hopes with a victory here on Saturday night at home, as they look to pick up their second consecutive victory of the series as well. Milwaukee has been consistent throughout the season and they will look to remain consistent throughout the postseason as well as they have a legitimate shot at winning a National League pennant as long as the chips fall where they need them to. I expect them to grab a victory in this game as well to officially clinch the series against the Chicago Cubs and eliminate Chicago from the playoffs.

Texas Rangers @ Seattle Mariners – 7:15PM ET

The Texas Rangers got absolutely crushed by the Seattle Mariners in the second game of the series on Friday night on the road in Seattle. It was the second consecutive loss for the Rangers against the Mariners in this series, and they will be looking to bounce back here in game number three as they look to remain on top of the American League West division, heading into the final two days of the regular season. With each lost Texas is watching their lead on top of the division slip away over the weekend and they will have to pick up a victory in this game if they want to remain in first place heading into the final day of the regular season on Sunday. 

The Seattle Mariners have picked up two very crucial wins throughout the first two games of this series on Thursday and Friday night. They will be looking to replicate that performance for a third consecutive evening here on Saturday night against the Texas Rangers at home. After walking it off on Thursday night and blowing out Texas on Friday night. They have single-handedly kept their season alive heading into the final two days of the regular season. Now they control their own destiny as they officially sit in the third wildcard spot in the American League and a third consecutive victory in this series would clinch them a spot in the playoffs this season. That is exactly what I expect as I have the Seattle Mariners grabbing another victory in this game.

Houston Astros @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 8:10PM ET

The defending World Series champions find themselves in a must win situation here on Saturday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. There is so much hanging in the balance for the Houston Astros over the next two days as they look to either clinch the American League West division or clinch a wildcard spot in the American League. For the time being Houston holds a one game lead over the Seattle Mariners for the third wildcard spot in the American League and they are less than one game out of first place in the division behind the Texas Rangers. Heading into the final two days of the regular season. They will be looking to grab another victory in this game on Saturday night to put some more breathing room between them and Seattle and continue gaining on Texas as well.

The Arizona Diamondbacks put up a solid fight in the opening game of the series on Friday night, but they fell just short, despite scoring a run late in the game. Now they will be looking to bounce back in the middle game of the series as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive before heading into the regular season finale on Sunday afternoon. Arizona also finds themselves in a must win situation coming into the final two days of the regular season as they are still looking to lock down a wildcard spot in the National League heading into Saturday night. However, I expect them to bounce back here in this one on Saturday night and pick up a crucial victory to keep their season alive.
