Miami Marlins @ Washington Nationals – 4:05PM ET

The Miami Marlins will be looking to pick up their third consecutive victory of the series over the Washington Nationals on Saturday night. It took extra innings to get the job done on Friday night but they won the game in eleven innings. Now that they have secured a split of this four game weekend series They will be looking to officially clinch the series with another victory here on Saturday afternoon in Washington. Miami has now managed to bring the record back above .500 coming into the third game of the series on Saturday night. As they come into this game with 68 victories and 67 losses on the year.

The Washington Nationals will be looking to bounce back after two consecutive losses to the Miami Marlins to open up their four game weekend series. Washington has shown plenty of progress this season, but they are still a few years away from being a competitive team once again and at this point in the year, they will be looking to play spoiler to the Marlins playoff hopes if they can finish the series strong. Washington comes into the third game of this series with a record of 62-74 through the first 136 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. Unfortunately for Washington I don’t see them picking up the victory in this game either as I have Miami grabbing another win.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Cleveland Guardians – 6:10PM ET

Tampa Bay will be looking to bounce back after Cleveland flipped the script on them on Friday night. Last time these two teams met in Tampa Bay it was the Rays that used several comeback victories late in the game to defeat Cleveland. This time around the story was a different one, as Cleveland scored a pair of runs late in the game to pick up a very crucial victory in the American League Central division title race. Tampa Bay has been struggling ever since several starting pitchers went down, and they lost out on their superstar shortstop as well. They will be looking to recover in the second game of the series and even up the series before heading into Sunday’s finale with a victory here on Saturday night. 

It was very important for Cleveland to grab the victory in the opening game of the series, especially after Minnesota picked up a victory, and it stopped the Twins from gaining a game on the Guardians and the title race. Now, Cleveland will be looking to make it two for two and officially clinch the series here on Saturday night at home. Cleveland has always been a second half ball club under Terry Francona and it seems as if they are doing so once again. As they are coming on strong at the end of the year, and that is why I expect them to pick up a second consecutive victory over Tampa Bay here in this game on Saturday night at home.

Chicago Cubs @ Cincinnati Reds – 6:40PM ET

The Cincinnati Reds will be looking to do the same after splitting a doubleheader with Chicago on Friday night as they look to pick up their second victory of this series against Chicago here on Saturday night at home. It has been an up-and-down season for Cincinnati, but they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling after winning game two of the doubleheader and put themselves one step closer to making the postseason this year as well. Cincinnati comes into this game with a record of 70-67 through their first 137 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season.

The Chicago Cubs will be looking to pick up a victory here on Saturday night after splitting a doubleheader with Cincinnati on Friday. Chicago has had an up-and-down season much like their opponents in this game and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling as they look to get closer to Milwaukee for first place in the National League Central division, as well as hold their lead in the National League wildcard race as well. Chicago comes into this game with a record of 72-63 through their first 135 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. Unfortunately for Chicago I look for Cincinnati to pick up the victory here in this one. 

New York Yankees @ Houston Astros – 7:10PM ET

It has been a rough season for the New York Yankees this year and at this point in the year it does not look like they will be able to recover in time to make the playoffs. They picked up a blowout win over the Houston Astros in the opening game of the series on Friday night and now they will be looking to replicate that performance in game number two on Saturday night to officially clinch the series before heading into the finale on Sunday. New York comes into the second game of this series with a record of 66-69 through their first 135 games of the 2023 Major League Baseball season. 

The Houston Astros will be looking to bounce back after losing the opening game of the series on Friday night. Every victory for Houston at this point becomes more and more crucial as they are looking to catch up to the Seattle Mariners in the American League West division. It hurts Houston when they lose very winnable games against struggling teams like the New York Yankees and now they will have to bounce back to even up this series here on Saturday night before heading into the finale on Sunday. Luckily for the Astros, I expect them to even up the series with a victory here on Saturday night.

Baltimore Orioles @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 8:10PM ET

It was a rough loss for Baltimore in the opening game of the series on Friday night against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Now they will be looking to bounce back in the second game of the series on Saturday night after they had a hard time producing runs in the opening game of the series on Friday. They will certainly have to be a lot more productive at the plate here in game number two of the series, if they want to get out of Chase Field with a much-needed victory to even up the series before heading into the finale on Sunday. Baltimore comes into the second game of this series with a solid lead in the American League East division that they will be looking to extend with a victory. 

The Arizona Diamondbacks will be looking to pick up a second consecutive victory over Baltimore here on Saturday night at home and officially clinch the series before heading into Sunday’s finale. They still have some progress to make if they want to reestablish themselves as potential contenders for the postseason in the National League coming down the final stretch of the season. Arizona comes into this game hovering above the .500 mark at the moment, and they will be looking to pick up another crucial victory here in this one to reestablish themselves within the top three of the National League wildcard race. Unfortunately for Arizona I don’t see that happening as I have Baltimore picking up the victory here on Saturday night.
