Tampa Bay Rays @ Baltimore Orioles – 7:05PM ET

The Tampa Bay Rays and Baltimore Orioles will be playing the first game of their four game weekday series in this one. These two American League East teams have met four times already this year. The Tampa Bay Rays currently lead the season series seven games to five.

The Tampa Bay Rays are quietly having a decent season so far this year. However, they experienced a rough weekend against the Kansas City Royals and now they will be looking to bounce back in this new series. The Rays come into this game after losing two out of three to one of the worst teams in Major League Baseball. As they have dropped down to a record of 52-43 through their first 95 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They just took two out of three from the Orioles last weekend at home and now they will be looking to repeat that in this four game series on the road in Camden Yards.

It was another rough outing for the Baltimore Orioles against the New York Yankees. As they had an opportunity to take two out of three games from the Bronx Bombers but they were completely out classed on Sunday, losing by a score of 0 to 6. Now they will turn their attention to one of the teams leading the American League Wildcard race, the Tampa Bay Rays. With the loss Baltimore falls to one game below the .500 mark once again this season. Unfortunately, I have them losing game one of the series as well

The Baltimore Orioles are at the bottom of the AL East with a 47-48 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 1-2 series loss to the New York Yankees. The Cleveland Guardians choked away a couple of huge opportunities in their four game series with the Chicago White Sox over the weekend. Now they head into Fenway Park on a two game losing streak after such a solid start to the second half of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. The Guardians will come into game one of this four game series with a record of 48-46 through their first 94 games of the year. They have yet to beat Boston this season after being swept in a three game series awhile back. 

It was a rough weekend for the Boston Red Sox as well as they were consistently embarrassed by the Toronto Blue Jays. Boston was outscored by a total of 10-40 in three games against the Blue Jays. Most of those runs came in the 28-5 beatdown on Friday evening. The Red Sox have now dropped to an even 48-48 through their first 96 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have lost their last five games in a row and nine out of their last ten. I have them losing game one of this series as well.

The Boston Red Sox are fourth in the AL East with a 48-48 record. They have lost the last 5 games and are coming off a 0-3 series loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, allowing 40 runs in those three games. The Red Sox are 12th in the league scoring 4.62 runs per game and are ranked 23rd in the league allowing 4.75 runs per game. Boston will start Nick Pivetta who is 8-7 for the season with a 4.50 ERA. The Red Sox have won the last 7 games against teams from the AL Central and have lost 6 of the last 8 games against teams with a winning record.

The Cleveland Guardians are second in the AL Central with a 48-46 record. They have won 5 of the last 7 games and are coming off a 2-2 series tie against the Chicago White Sox. After losing the first two games of the series over the weekend, the Los Angeles Angels bounced back with a huge victory on Sunday to close out their weekend series with the Atlanta Braves. The Angels have picked up win number 40 on the season and will come into this series with the Kansas City Royals 15 games below the .500 mark. They will be looking to take advantage of a weak Kansas City team and grab another series and crawl their way back to even on the year before we get too deep into the month of August. 

It was actually a pretty successful weekend for the Royals as they took two of three from the Tampa Bay Rays. Now the Royals will come into this series with a record of 38-57 through their first 95 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They have won 5 out of their last 10 games on the year and come into this one on a two game winning streak as well. However, I don’t expect that to last as I’m going with the Los Angeles Angels to win game one of the series.

The Kansas City Royals are fourth in the AL Central with a 38-57 record. They have lost 3 of the last 5 games and are coming off a 2-1 series win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Kansas City is ranked 26th in the league scoring only 4.01 runs per game and 26th allowing 5.18 runs per game. The Royals will start Zach Greinke tonight who is 3-6 for the season with a 4.64 ERA. Kansas City has won 5 of the last 7 home games and have lost 49 of the last 73 games played on Monday.

Colorado Rockies @ Milwaukee Brewers – 8:10PM ET

The Colorado Rockies and Milwaukee Brewers will be playing the fourth and final game of their four game weekend series in this one. The Brewers have already clinched at least a share of this series after winning the first two games on Friday and Saturday.

The Rockies come into this game with a record of 43-53 through their first 96 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They will be looking to snap this four game losing streak and salvage a little bit of momentum heading into the final week of July. The Rockies currently find themselves in fourth place of the National League West division. 

The Milwaukee Brewers have a big opportunity in this one to complete the sweep in this four game series. The Brewers have looked unstoppable throughout the last three games as they have outscored Colorado by a combined 25-18. The Brewers are coming into this game with a record of 53-43 through their first 96 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. They are currently in first place of the National League Central division as they lead the St.Louis Cardinals by two and a half games.

The Milwaukee Brewers are on top of the NL Central with a 53-43 record. They have won 3 of the last 5 games and currently lead 3-0 in the series against the Colorado Rockies. They have been in the basement of the American League West for the majority of the year and that is likely where they’re going to end up finishing the year well. Despite the fact that they are coming off a series win against the Texas Rangers they still managed only pick up 35 wins in a total of 98 games on the season. They are an entire 30 games back of first place of the Houston Astros and the American League West division as well. Which means they are virtually out of the playoff race already.

The Houston Astros have been one of the best teams in Major League Baseball so far this season. They top the American League West division at the moment and hold a double digit lead over the other four teams in the division as well. They have picked up 64 wins in their first 96 games of the 2022 Major League Baseball season. Houston has won seven out of their last 10 games on the year and come into this game on a five game winning streak.
