The Texas Rangers had plenty of opportunities to get the job done in the fifth game of this series on Friday night, but they gave up a late lead in the top of the ninth inning, and they were unable to recover. Now they find themselves in a must win situation if they want to force a game seven and keep their hopes alive of making it to the World Series. They held a 2 to 0 lead in this series, following the opening two games on the road in Houston but they were unable to pick up a single victory at home and now they have to go back on the road and win two consecutive games if they want to win this series.
The defending World Series champions are one step away from returning to the World Series with an opportunity to defend their title. Coming home to Houston for this game on Sunday night they find themselves in a great position after winning three consecutive games on the road in Arlington to give themselves some cushion heading into the final two games of this series. After leaving Houston after the first two games, they found themselves in a hole after losing both of the two games of this series, but they found a way to regroup and bounce back and grab three huge victories on the road. Unfortunately for the Astros, I think their winning streak here as I look for the Rangers to regroup and grab a victory here in game six.
