Houston Astros @ Texas Rangers – 5:07PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Houston Astros jumped out to an early lead in the fourth game of this series on Thursday night. Now they will be looking to replicate that performance here in the fifth game of the series in Arlington as they look to come back from a 2 to 0 deficit and take a 3 to 2 lead before heading back home for the final two games of the series. The defending World Series champions had a sluggish start to this series as they dropped the opening two games at home, but they have bounced back in a big way over the last two nights, and they will be looking to do so for a third consecutive evening, to grab their third consecutive victory of the series here in this one.

The Texas Rangers will be looking to grab a huge victory in the fifth game of this series as they look to bounce back from two consecutive losses that has now left them tied, heading into their final home game of the series. The Texas Rangers undefeated streak did not last throughout this series after winning the opening two games in Houston as they were unable to pick up a victory over the last two nights, and the games arguably have not been close either. Now they will be looking to regroup and regain some much-needed momentum here in the fifth game of this series before heading back to Houston for the final two games. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Rangers to grab the win here in this game on Friday night.

Philadelphia Phillies @ Arizona Diamondbacks – 8:07PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Philadelphia Phillies will be looking to bounce back in game number four of this series after they lost last night on a walk off in the opening game of the series on the road in Arizona. Philadelphia still holds a two games to one lead heading into game number four of this series, they will be looking to pick up a crucial victory in this one as they look to take a three games to one lead before heading into the final game of the series at Chase Field later this week. Philadelphia would like to not have to go back home for the final two games of the series but at least if they do, they will control home-field advantage for the final two contests if it gets to that point. If it’s up to the Philadelphia Phillies, they would end the series over the next two games and get some much-needed rest before the World Series.

The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up the victory, and what felt like a must win game for them as they walked it off and now they will be looking to even up this series with a second consecutive victory here on Friday night. After a rough couple of games on the road in Philadelphia, Arizona was able to regroup and grab the victory here in game number three of the series, and they will be looking to do the same here in game number four as well. If Arizona can manage to grab a second consecutive victory here on Friday night, they would put themselves in a great position in game five at home with an opportunity to take the lead before heading back to Philadelphia for the final two games. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the diamondbacks to pick up the victory here in game four on Friday night.
