Cleveland Guardians @ Washington Nationals – 7:05PM ET

The Cleveland Guardians will be opening up a three-game series with the Washington Nationals on the road on Friday evening. Cleveland is coming off of the series where they dropped two of three games to the New York Yankees. They are currently on a two game losing streak, and I will be looking to bounce back against one of the worst teams in baseball as they hit an easier stretch of their schedule after a rough start to the season. However, it is fair to say that they handled that rough start about as well as you could. As they come into this game with a record of 7-6 on the year. Cal Quantrill will be on the mound for the Guardians in this one against Washington.

It didn’t take long to realize that the Washington Nationals were still going to be one of the worst teams in baseball as they continue to rebuild after their World Series victory in 2019. They have managed to only pick up four victories in their first 13 games of the season. They have only picked up three victories in their last 10 games on the year and they come into this one also on a two game losing streak. Trevor Williams gets the start for Washington game one of the series and I think it’ll be the Cleveland Guardians who end up getting the victory in game one of the series. 

Minnesota Twins @ New York Yankees – 7:05PM ET

The Minnesota Twins jumped all over the New York Yankees early on in game one of the series last night. They scored nine runs on the Yankees in the first inning and ended up routing the New York Yankees to pick up the win in game one of this four game series. Now they will be looking to clinch at least a share of the series in this one on Friday evening on the road against the Yankees. Louie Varlen will be making his regular season debut for the Minnesota Twins in this game.

The New York Yankees got absolutely hammered on Thursday evening against the Minnesota Twins. Now they will be looking to bounce back and even up the series and avoid being embarrassed for the second night in a row. Nestor Cortés will be on the hill for the New York Yankees in this one, as he looks to pick up his third victory of the season. The Yankees offense will have to do a lot better in the second game of the series as well after a rough showing on Thursday night. I expect New York to bounce back and pick up the victory in this one on Thursday.

Los Angeles Angels @ Boston Red Sox – 7:10PM ET

The Los Angeles Angels are off to a decent start to the season and they are a team that should be one of the best teams in baseball with all the talent on their roster. They are coming to this game having picked up seven victories in their first 12 games of the year which puts them in first place in the American League west division. They are currently on a two game winning streak, and I will be looking to keep the momentum rolling when they open up this three-game weekend series against the Boston Red Sox. Patrick Sandoval takes the mound for Los Angeles, looking to pick up his second victory of the season.

The Boston Red Sox will be looking to bounce back after being swept by the Tampa Bay Rays over the course of the week. They were just the next victim in the Rays incredible start to the season and now they would be looking to get back on track as they welcome in the Los Angeles Angels to historic Fenway Park. Tanner Houck will be on the mound for Boston tonight, searching for his third victory of the year. They have had a rough start to the year as they’ve only managed to pick up five wins in their first 13 games of the season. I don’t expect it to get much better for them, and this one, as I think the Los Angeles Angels will grab the victory to open up the series. 

Baltimore Orioles @ Chicago White Sox – 7:10PM ET

The Baltimore Orioles closed out their series yesterday with a walkoff victory, and now they will look to use the momentum from the win against the Athletics in this opening game against the White Sox. It has been an average start to the season for Baltimore, and they are playing in one of the best divisions in all of baseball, which doesn’t help their case at all. They come into this game, one game above .500 having picked up seven victories in their first 13 games of the season. Tyler Wells will be on the mound for the Orioles in this game, as he looks to get his first victory of the season. 

It has been a rough start to the season for the Chicago White Sox, and they recently found out that they will be without their star shortstop Tim Anderson for a prolonged amount of time as well. They will be looking to regroup and bounce back in this three-game weekend series against the Baltimore Orioles starting on Friday night. Mike Clevinger will be on the mound for Chicago, and this one as he searches for his third victory of the season. However, I don’t expect it to happen as I have the Baltimore Orioles grabbing the win here in game number one.

Atlanta Braves @ Kansas City Royals – 8:10PM ET

The Atlanta Braves are off to a great start this season and now they look to keep it rolling as they had to Missouri for a three-game weekend series with the Kansas City Royals. Atlanta’s office has been clicking on all cylinders, as Ronald Acuña, Matt Olson, Austin Riley, and Sean Murphy have been tearing up opposing pitching throughout the year thus far. Charlie Morton takes the mound for Atlanta in game one of the series as he looks to pick up his second victory of the season. 

The Kansas City Royals are having a rough start to the year, but everyone likely would have predicted that with the trend the team has been on throughout the past couple of seasons. The Royals come into this game having managed to only pick up four victories in the first 13 games of the season. Now they will be looking to regroup and get a victory over a solid Atlanta Braves squad to open up the series at home. Brady Singer will be on the mound for Kansas City and this one as he looks to grab his second victory of the season. However, I don’t see that happening as I have Atlanta getting a comfortable victory in this one.
