Houston Astros @ Minnesota Twins – 4:07PM ET

Tony Battalio

The defending World Series champions come into the third game of this series, looking to grab their second victory. They will be looking to bounce back after losing game number two at home on Sunday as they look to get the upper hand during the first game on the road in Minnesota here on Tuesday afternoon. The Houston Astros are certainly the favorites in this series, but they have not looked like it at times throughout the first two games. They will be looking to further prove that they are the favorites to win the entire thing for the second consecutive season with a quality performance in this game on Tuesday afternoon on the road here in game number three.

Minnesota comes into this game looking to get the upper hand on the Houston Astros with a second consecutive victory here in game number three of the series. After not winning a playoff series for nearly 2 decades, Minnesota looked good in their two game series sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays. They will be looking to grab another series victory in this series against the defending World Series champions. Pablo Lopez delivered a quality performance and game number two to shut down the Astros lineup and now Sonny Gray will be looking to do the same here on Tuesday afternoon at home. Unfortunately for Minnesota I don’t see that happening as I look for Houston to pick up the victory.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Houston Astros (+115)

Baltimore Orioles @ Texas Rangers – 8:03PM ET

Tony Battalio

Baltimore will be looking to bounce back after losing the opening two games of this series at home and now they have their backs against the wall and it is a must win situation here in game number three on Tuesday night in Texas. Baltimore has to win the next two games on the road and then return home and win game five later this week if they want to survive in advance to the next round of the postseason. The week that they had off thanks to finish finishing the regular season with the best record in the American League might end up being their undoing as they have looked lethargic throughout the first two games of this series and they will be looking to find a pulse here on Tuesday night on the road as they look to prevent their season from ending early.

The Texas Rangers will be looking to close out the Baltimore Orioles here on Tuesday night at home after picking up back-to-back victories on the road in Baltimore to open up the series over the weekend. Texas has looked fantastic throughout their entire postseason run, and they have yet to lose a game as they currently find themselves with four consecutive victories to open up the playoffs. I look for them to keep the momentum rolling here in game number three of the series on Tuesday night at home and finish off the Baltimore Orioles with their third consecutive win of the series as I look for the Texas Rangers to advance the American League Championship Series.

SportsTips’ MLB Pick:

Texas Rangers (-145)
