Hot-hitting Hunter Renfroe will be looking to extend his 11-game hitting streak as the Milwaukee Brewers (70-63) match up against the Colorado Rockies (57-78) at Coors Field on Monday for the first of a three-game series. The Brewers are in the midst of a seven-game road trip. They won only one out of four in their last series against the Diamondbacks, dropping the finale 5-1 on Sunday at Chase Field. Renfroe was 2 for 4 with a solo home run, stretching his hit streak to 11 games. The Rockies are playing the first of six games at home after concluding a tough 10-game road trip (3-7). They lost two of three against the Reds in their last series, ending the series by splitting both games of a doubleheader at Great American Ball Park on Sunday. They followed up an 8-4 win in the opener with a 10-0 loss in the finale. Garrett Hampson went 1 for 1 with a walk in the second leg.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Brewers have won three of four in the season series between the teams, although they dropped a close one 2-0 in their last meeting on July 25 at American Family Field. Kyle Freeland threw seven scoreless innings- striking out seven – to get the win, and Daniel Bard picked up his 21st save with a scoreless ninth.
