ON THE MOUND
Noah Syndergaard (1-4, 6.54 ERA) is slated to get the start for Los Angeles. The right-hander allowed five runs over five innings in his last start, a 10-6 home defeat against the Nationals on May 31. He yielded seven hits while striking out two and walking two in the no-decision.
Syndergaard is making his first appearance against the Reds this season. Over two starts against the Reds in 2022, Syndergaard was 2-0 with a 2.57 ERA over 14 innings. He had seven strikeouts and two walks.
For Cincinnati, lefty Brandon Williamson (0-0, 4.29 ERA) will toe the rubber. It’s his first appearance of the season against the Dodgers. In his last start on Friday, Williamson took a no-decision at home against the Brewers.
