Two of the Mountain West Conference’s top running offenses are set to meet at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, as the University of Wyoming Cowboys (7-3, 5-1 MWC) play host to the Boise State University Broncos (7-3, 6-0 MWC). The Broncos are 14-point favorites, and the total is 44.

Boise State is coming off an impressive 41-3 win over Nevada at Clarence Mackay Stadium last Saturday. Taylen Green threw for 218 yards and a touchdown. George Holani ran 17 times for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Eric McAlister caught two passes for 70 yards.

Wyoming won for the fourth straight game last Saturday, beating Colorado State 14-13 at Canvas Stadium. Jayden Clemons was 7 of 11 for 94 yards and a touchdown. Titus Swen carried 16 times for 73 yards. Parker Christensen caught four receptions for 32 yards.


The Broncos won the only meeting between the teams last season, a 23-13 victory in November, their fifth straight win against Wyoming. Hank Bachmeier threw one touchdown for Boise State.


The Broncos are averaging 30.0 points per game for the season, 53rd in FBS, and they are facing a Cowboys defense that has surrendered 23.1 PPG (44th). Meanwhile, Wyoming has scored 23.2 points a game this season, 97th in the country, and Boise State is allowing 17.3 PPG (11th).

George Holani leads the team in rushing with an average of 93.9 yards a game over nine games. He has 10 touchdowns on the ground and four through the air. Stefan Cobbs is the Broncos’ leading receiver with 36.0 yards a game and two TDs.

Andrew Peasley has nine passing touchdowns (6 INT) with 128.4 yards per game through 10 games to lead Wyoming. In five home games this season, he has thrown for five TDs (2 INT) and an average of 169.2 yards.

Titus Swen has been the home team’s leading performer on the ground, averaging 75.2 yards a game through 10 games. He has seven touchdowns. Joshua Cobbs has been a key target in the Cowboys’ passing game. He has two touchdowns and a 36.4 yard per game average through 10 appearances.
