Two of the nation’s top passing offenses are set to face off at Amon G. Carter Stadium on Saturday, as the Texas Tech University Red Raiders (4-4, 2-3 Big 12) are on the road to take on the No. 7 Texas Christian University Horned Frogs (8-0, 5-0 Big 12).
The Horned Frogs are 9.5-point favorites, and the total is 69.5. Texas Tech is coming off a deflating 45-17 loss at the hands of Baylor at Jones AT&T Stadium last Saturday. Behren Morton threw for 152 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions. Tahj Brooks ran 16 times for 98 yards. Xavier White caught two passes for 45 yards.
TCU won for the eighth straight game last Saturday, beating West Virginia 41-31 at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. Max Duggan was 16 of 28 for 341 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception. Kendre Miller carried 12 times for 120 yards and a touchdown. Taye Barber also scored once. He had four receptions for 99 yards.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Horned Frogs won the only meeting between the teams last season, a 52-31 victory in October, their third straight win against Texas Tech. Kendre Miller had three touchdowns for TCU. SaRodorick Thompson had three touchdowns for Texas Tech.
