#20 Ole Miss @ #24 Tulane – 3:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Ole Miss Rebels come into the second game of the season after picking up a victory in the opening week of the year. They will have a much tougher task ahead of them as they hit the road to New Orleans to play nationally ranked Tulane, who is coming off of a season opening victory themselves. After a rough finish to last season, where they lost four consecutive games, they opened up their year with a blowout victory over FCS school Mercer. They put 73 points up on the board against Mercer in the opening game of the season, however points won’t come as easy for Ole Miss here in this one, so they will have to play just as well as they did last weekend and potentially even better on the road in a hostile environment.

Tulane picked up a solid victory over South Alabama to open up the season and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling in the second game of the season against Ole Miss here on Saturday afternoon at home. Coming into the season it was the first time Tulane had found themselves ranked in the associated press. Top 25 preseason poll, and they were looking to prove the doubters wrong, and they did that with a victory over South Alabama. They will be looking to do it once again with a victory over Mississippi here on Saturday afternoon at home, and regardless of the result in the outcome of this game, I do expect Tulane to cover the spread in this game at the very least.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Tulane +7 (-110)

SMU @ #18 Oklahoma – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

SMU comes into this game looking to upset the Oklahoma Sooners on the road. They are currently double-digit underdogs but they are not a team to be taken lightly and they could very easily surprise Oklahoma if the Sooners overlook Southern Methodist here on Saturday night. They opened up their season with a victory over Louisiana Tech as they put 38 points on the board in a blowout win. They will be looking to replicate that performance here in this game on Saturday night. They should be able to put up a solid fight against the Sooners here in this game.

Oklahoma opened up their season with a massive victory in a huge blowout win over Arkansas State. Now they will face off against slightly tougher competition as they welcome SMU into their home, and they look to pick up their second victory of the season and move even farther up the top 25 rankings. This is an Oklahoma team that not many people have a ton of expectations for after their rough season last year but they do have the potential to put together a quality season this year if everything goes the way they need it to. I expect this to be a lot closer and a lot more competitive for Oklahoma and this one but in the end, I still have the Sooners getting the victory while SMU covers the spread.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

SMU +15.5 (-110)

#11 Texas @ #3 Alabama – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Texas Longhorns had a slow start to the season against the Rice Owls last weekend, but they picked it up before the game ended and ended up blowing Rice out to cruise to a victory to open up the season. Now in week two they will have their long-awaited rematch against the Crimson Tide of Alabama, on the road in Tuscaloosa. This is a game that Texas was arguably going to run away with before starting quarterback Quinn Ewers went down with an injury, and after they were unable to keep the momentum rolling at home against Alabama last season. This is a Texas team that will be out for revenge against Alabama as they will look to pick up their second victory of the season and jump into the top 10 rankings.

The Alabama Crimson Tide had plenty of questions at the quarterback position coming into the season. However, after the performance of Jalen Milroe on Saturday in their victory to open up the season it seems clear who’s the starting quarterback for the Crimson Tide will be moving forward. This will be their first real test of the season, and it comes at a perfect time as they get a chance to play a team that will challenge them before they head into conference play in one of the best conferences in the country. I expect Alabama and Texas to have a close and competitive game, but in the end, I think it’ll be the Texas Longhorns that pick up the victory on the road in Tuscaloosa to upset the number three ranked Crimson Tide.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Texas (+240)

#19 Wisconsin @ Washington State – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Wisconsin comes into their second game of the season ranked as the number nineteen team in the country and they will be looking to pick up their second victory of the season here on Saturday night on the road at Washington State. Wisconsin has plenty of expectations this season as they are favored to win the Big Ten West division and make a trip to Indianapolis for the Big Ten championship game as well. Despite a slow start in week one they opened up their season with a blowout victory over Buffalo and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here in week two against Washington State in their first test of the season on the road.

Washington State opened up the season with a victory, and they will be looking to upset a top 25 team here in week two at home to grab their second win of the season. Nobody quite knows what the future will look like right now, as they are one of the two remaining schools in the Pac-12 conference along with Oregon State but as of right now, they are focusing on the current season, and they got their current season off to a fantastic start with their victory in week one. Washington State picked up a blowout victory over Colorado State to open up the season. Unfortunately, though for Washington State, I have Wisconsin picking up the victory here on Saturday night on the road.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Wisconsin (-225)

Stanford @ #6 USC – 10:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Stanford will be looking to pull off the upset of nationally ranked USC here on Saturday night on the road in Los Angeles. It has been a rough few seasons for the Stanford Cardinals as they have been going through sort of a rebuilding process and they have had some down years over the last 4-5 seasons. They will be hoping that this is the year that things finally start to pay off for them, and they can get back on track as they look to be heading into the Atlantic Coast Conference in the near future after the crumbling of the Pac-12 thanks to conference realignment over the last 12 months. Stanford comes into this game after opening up their season with a victory over Hawaii.

It has been a solid start to the season for the USC Trojans and they will be looking to make it three consecutive victories to open up the year with another victory here on Saturday against Stanford. They will also be looking to open up conference play with a quality victory during the Pac-12 swan song to college football. As the conference will likely disband following the season and USC will be on their way to the Big Ten conference next year. Last year’s Heisman Trophy winner quarterback, Caleb Williams looks well on his way to winning a second consecutive Heisman Trophy with the way he has performed throughout the first two games of the season. I expect him to have another quality performance here in this game and lead USC to a third consecutive victory to open up the season.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

USC -29.5 (-110)
