South Carolina @ #1 Georgia – 3:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

South Carolina will be looking to pull off the upset of the season when they head to Athens to play between the hedges on Saturday afternoon. They certainly have all the talent on the roster that they would need to upset the Georgia Bulldogs here in this one, however, playing consistent ootball has been a questionmark for the South Carolina football team throughout the first two games of this season. They will have to play their best game of the season if they want to upset the number one ranked team in the country here on Saturday afternoon on the road and one of the hardest environments to play in the entire sport as well.

Georgia had plenty of concerns coming into the season as they were once again, replacing a lot of talent on both sides of the football. Most concerning is the fact that they were breaking in a brand new quarterback after Stetson Bennett led them to back to back national championships. Carson Beck has struggled throughout the first two games of the season but he has looked solid at times, and he will be looking to perform well in his first true test of the year here on Saturday at home against South Carolina. Georgia still has the talent around him to get the job done and that is exactly what I expect as I look for the Bulldogs to pull out a close victory in this game and for South Carolina to cover the spread.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

South Carolina +27.5 (-110)

Northwestern @ #21 Duke – 3:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Northwestern had a ton of issues off of the football field over the off-season and honestly it’s surprising that they were able to pick up a victory this season after all the controversy the program went through. They will have their work cut out for them here and the third game of the season against the nationally ranked Duke Blue Devils on the road in Durham, North Carolina. They will have to be nearly flawless if they want to pick up an upside of the Duke Blue Devils here in this one, and establish themselves as a competitive football team this season. However, the question remains to be seen if they have the talent to compete with other power five programs this season.

Duke opened up their season with a blowout victory over nationally ranked Clemson, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling here on Saturday afternoon against Northwestern at home. This season has the potential to be the most successful season for Duke football in a very long time and they will be looking to keep up their winning ways with another convincing victory over Northwestern here on Saturday afternoon. They have picked up two consecutive blowouts, and their defense is giving up an average of seven points a game. I expect them to have another comfortable victory here in game number three of the season and cover the spread against Northwestern in the process.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Duke -17 (-110)

#11 Tennessee @ Florida – 7PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Tennessee Volunteers had a successful season last year and they are off to a hot start this season as well. They will be looking to pick up a key early-season victory in this rivalry game against Florida on the road on Saturday night. Tennessee comes into this one ranked just outside the top 10 in the nation and with a quality performance they could find themselves ranked inside of the top 10 when next week’s rankings get released. Tennessee he’s coming off of a couple of blowout victories to open the season, but this will be their first real test of the year.

It was a rough opening game of the season for the Florida Gators as they lost to the Utah Utes on the road. Luckily for Florida they were able to bounce back with a comfortable victory in game number two of the season and now they will face yet another tough task in the form of their rivals, Tennessee. Luckily, for the Florida Gators, they get them at home this season inside the friendly confines of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, more commonly referred to as “The Swamp.” Florida will be hoping that home-field advantage can help lead them to a victory. Unfortunately for the Florida gators, I don’t see that happening as I have the Tennessee Volunteers picking up the victory here on Saturday night.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Tennessee -5.5 (-110)

Bowling Green @ #2 Michigan – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Bowling Green has carved themselves out a respectable start to the season, but they will have their hands full with the number two team in the country here on Saturday night on the road in Ann Arbor. This will be the toughest team that they come across all season and they will have to play an absolutely flawless game and get plenty of breaks if they want to pick up a victory on the road against Michigan here on Saturday night. They will have a little bit of momentum coming into this game as they are coming off of a blowout victory over Eastern Illinois last weekend. However, everything will have to go their way if they want to pick up a victory over Michigan here in this one on the road.

The Michigan Wolverines have now made it through two games of the four game suspension for head coach, Jim Harbaugh. This will arguably be the last of the cupcakes for this Michigan team, as next weekend they will take on Rutgers when they open up Big Ten play without their head coach. They are over 40 point favorites in this game on Saturday night at home, and they will be looking to pick up their third consecutive victory on the season with a blowout win here in this one as well as establish themselves as the true number two team in the country. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Michigan to blow Bowling Green out and cover the spread in the process.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Michigan -40.5 (-110)

Colorado State @ #18 Colorado – 10PM ET

Tony Battalio

Colorado State will face off against their rivals, the Colorado Buffaloes here on Saturday night on the road, as they look to put a stop to the Deion Sanders show in Boulder on Saturday evening. They will be looking to pull off one of the biggest upsets of this college football season so far but they will have to play an absolutely flawless game if they wanna leave Boulder with a victory on Saturday evening. They opened up their season during the first Saturday of September against Washington State, and it resulted in a blowout loss for Colorado State. They have the following weekend off, which has given them a couple of weeks to prepare for Colorado.

The Colorado Buffaloes just continue to keep winning. After their gritty victory over their rivals Nebraska last weekend, they have already doubled their win total from last season. Deion Sanders, and company will be looking to keep the party rolling here on Saturday night at home when they welcome in-state rivals Colorado State to Boulder for the third game of the season. He will be looking to add some style points to this victory after they struggled for the majority of the game against Nebraska last weekend, and reestablish themselves as a powerhouse early on in the season. That is exactly what I expect as I have them, picking up the victory and covering the spread in the process.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Colorado -23.5 (-115)
