#17 Tennessee @ #11 Alabama – 3:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The number seventeen ranked Tennessee Volunteers will be looking to pick up a massive victory in this rivalry game on the road against Alabama. This is a game last season that was one of the best contests in the entire year and it really shaped the direction for the playoff race as well. That will likely be the outcome of this game here on Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa, as Tennessee will be looking to win their second consecutive game against Alabama and move into the upper echelon of the country and potentially put themselves in the playoff conversations as well as give themselves a solid opportunity to win the SEC this season. Tennessee comes into this game with a record of 5-1 on the year with their only loss coming earlier this season to Florida which in hindsight looks awful.

Despite having some close calls and quarterback controversy throughout the early parts of the season, Alabama is starting to get it together, and that is dangerous for the other teams in the conference, and in the country as well. They will be looking to defend their turf and avenge their loss to Tennessee from last season and pick up a massive victory to firmly establish themselves as the leaders in the SEC West division, heading into the final four weeks of the regular season. Alabama is on a streak right now and they are putting things together piece by piece and they are getting hot and I expect that to continue in this game on Saturday afternoon as I look for them to pick up the victory over Tennessee at home.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Tennessee +8.5 (-110)

#16 Duke @ #4 Florida State – 7:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Duke Blue Devils bounced back in a big way last weekend with a quality victory over North Carolina State with their back up quarterback, and they will be looking to upset the Florida State Seminoles on the road here in this game. It has been a successful season for Duke, and it is arguably going to end as their most successful season as a football program, and they will be looking to keep the momentum rolling by picking up a massive upset victory, and shaking the foundation of the playoff race with a win here on Saturday. Duke has all the tools to get the job done here on the road in Tallahassee on Saturday night but they will have to execute and play a near perfect game if they want to upset Florida State at home.

Florida State will be looking to remain undefeated and pick up a top 25 victory in the process here on Saturday night at home against Duke. It has been a fantastic start of the season for Florida State as a few years of rebuilding has finally paid off for the program, and they are back to contending for a national championship as well as a conference championship as well. There’s a long way to go in the regular season, but they will be looking to take a massive step forward by grabbing another victory in this game at home on Saturday night against Duke and put themselves one step closer to finishing off their undefeated, regular season and clinching a spot in the conference title game. That is exactly what I expect as I look for Florida State to grab the victory in this game over Duke at home.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Florida State -14.5 (-110)

#14 Utah @ #18 USC – 8PM ET

Tony Battalio

Utah will be looking to take Southern Cal out of the playoff race for the second consecutive season. Utah is having a little bit of trouble this season as they have been without starting quarterback Cam Rising for the majority of their games up until this point of the year. They come into this game right just inside the top 15 of the country and they will be looking to give Southern Cal their second consecutive loss of the season here on Saturday night on the road in Los Angeles. The Utah defense will have to keep them in this game because it seems highly unlikely that they’re offense will be able to match the production of USC’s here on Saturday night. They come into this game with a record of 5-1 through their first six games of the season.

The USC Trojans will be looking to bounce back after they were hammered last weekend by Notre Dame on the road in South Bend. It was arguably the worst game that Caleb Williams has played throughout three years of his college football career as he threw three interceptions and was sacked several times and it led to USC being blown out by 20+ points on the road against a top 15 team in the country. Now they will be looking to bounce back and grab a victory over Utah to keep themselves firmly established in the Pac-12 title race and the playoff race heading into the final five weeks of the regular season. I expect this to be a close and competitive game, but in the end, I think Utah will upset USC, handing them their second consecutive loss, and knocking them out of the playoff race.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Utah ML (+220)

Arizona State @ #5 Washington – 10:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

Arizona State will be looking to grab a huge upset victory on the road against Washington here on Saturday night as they will be hoping to catch the Huskies on a letdown after their massive victory against Oregon last weekend. It has been an absolutely dreadful season for an Arizona State this year as they are going through the early part of a rebuilding phase and they are banned from playing a bowl game because of self-reported violations as well. However, because of their record, that likely won’t be an issue as they’ve only managed to pick up one victory and their first six games of the season and with two more losses, they would officially become ineligible for a bowl game anyways.

The Washington Huskies are riding high after their huge top 10 victory over Oregon last weekend and they will be looking to grab another victory and remain undefeated here on Saturday night at home against Arizona State. Quarterback Michael Penix has put himself firmly in the conversation to win the Heisman trophy, and he continues to put up big numbers each and every week for the Washington Huskies throughout the first seven weeks of the season. I expect more of the same here in week number eight against Arizona State as I look for him to have another quality performance and lead Washington to another victory to remain undefeated firmly at the top of the Pac-12 conference in the playoff conversation. Not only do I expect Washington to grab a comfortable victory in this game, I expect them to cover the spread as well.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

Washington -27.5 (-110)

#25 UCLA @ Stanford – 10:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The UCLA Bruins come into this game looking to get back on track and pick up a victory over Stanford here on Saturday night down on the farm. UCLA has gone through plenty of ups and downs this season with a true freshman starting quarterback but they have shown plenty of upside throughout the first seven weeks of the regular season. UCLA comes into this game sitting in the middle of the pack in the conference and they will be looking for a huge victory here against Stanford to try and keep themselves in the upper echelon of the conference heading into the final few weeks of the regular season. They will be looking to pick up their fifth victory of the season as they look to take a step closer to being bowl eligible this year.

Stanford has had a rough season but they are riding a wave of momentum after their incredible comeback. Victory on the road against Colorado last week. They will be looking to parlay that momentum into a victory over UCLA at home and grab themselves a top 25 victory in the process to try and ignite some fire under them for the remainder of the regular season. Stanford comes into this game with only two victories in their first six games of the year and that is something that will have to change rather quickly if they want to play in a ball game at the end of the regular season as well. Unfortunately for them I don’t see that happening in this game as I have UCLA grabbing the victory here on Saturday night on the road.

SportsTips’ NCAAF Pick:

UCLA -17 (-110)
