Two of the country’s top scoring offenses are set to meet at Rose Bowl on Saturday, as the No. 16 University of California at Los Angeles Bruins (8-2, 5-2 Pac-12) welcome the No. 7 University of Southern California Trojans (9-1, 7-1 Pac-12). The Trojans are 2.5-point favorites, and the total is 76.
USC is coming off a runaway 55-17 win over Colorado at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum last Friday, their third straight victory.
Caleb Williams threw for 268 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Austin Jones ran 11 times for 74 yards. He added four receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown. Kyle Ford caught three passes for 73 yards.
UCLA lost 34-28 to Arizona at Rose Bowl last Saturday. Dorian Thompson-Robinson was 26 of 39 for 245 yards and a touchdown.
Zach Charbonnet carried 24 times for 181 yards and three touchdowns and added nine catches for 38 yards. Hudson Habermehl added a touchdown of his own. He caught three receptions for 64 yards.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The Bruins won the only meeting between the teams last season, a 62-33 victory in November. Dorian Thompson-Robinson threw four touchdowns for UCLA, as Kazmeir Allen scored twice.

In seven home games this season, he has thrown for 14 TDs (2 INT) and an average of 245.7 yards. Zach Charbonnet has been the home team’s leading performer on the ground, averaging 143.1 yards a game through eight games.
He also has been valuable as a receiver, accumulating 33.8 yards a game through the air. He has 13 touchdowns. Jake Bobo has been a key target in the Bruins’ passing game. He has six touchdowns and a 65.1 yard per game average through 10 appearances.
