Green carried 24 times for 119 yards and a touchdown and added four catches for 31 yards. Demario Douglas hauled in seven receptions for 70 yards.

The teams are meeting in the regular season for the first time since November 2020, a 38-35 win for the Flames. Malik Willis threw three touchdowns for Liberty. Hendon Hooker tossed three touchdowns for Virginia Tech.
