The No. 21 UCLA Bruins (6-2, 1-0 Pac-12), one of the country’s top shooting teams, welcome the Oregon Ducks (4-4, 1-0 Pac-12) on Sunday. Oregon beat the Washington State Cougars 74-60 at Matthew Knight Arena on Thursday. N’Faly Dante was the scoring leader with 22 points.
Will Richardson chipped in with 17 points and eight assists. UCLA won their third in a row on Thursday at Maples Pavilion, beating the Stanford Cardinal 80-66. Jaime Jaquez Jr. had 27 points to lead the team.
This marks the only meeting of the season between the teams. Oregon won both games between the teams last season, the last of which was a 68-63 triumph at Matthew Knight Arena on February 24, their fourth straight head-to-head victory.
De’Vion Harmon led the Ducks with 17 points and six rebounds. Cody Riley had 12 points in the loss. The Ducks have been led this season by Dante and Richardson, who are averaging 14.3 and 14.1 points per game, respectively.
Dante also has grabbed 6.4 rebounds per game, while Richardson has dished 5.3 assists per game. Jaquez Jr. (18.0 ppg) has been the primary provider for the Bruins on offense.
Jaylen Clark is pulling down 5.9 rebounds per game, and Tyger Campbell is tallying 5.3 assists. The Bruins are one of the most accurate field goal shooting teams in the nation, ranking eighth at 51.4%.
