The Tulane Green Wave (12-5, 5-1 AAC), one of the nation’s top scoring teams, welcome the No. 1 Houston Cougars (17-1, 5-0 AAC) on Tuesday. Houston topped the South Florida Bulls 83-77 at Fertitta Center on Wednesday, their eighth win in a row.
Marcus Sasser was the standout player with 31 points. The Cougars are first in the American Athletic Conference. Tulane won their fifth in a row on Saturday at Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse, beating the UCF Knights 77-69. Jaylen Forbes had 27 points and six rebounds, carrying the team. The Green Wave remain second in the American Athletic Conference.
The teams are meeting for the only time this season. They last met in the American Athletic Conference Tournament semifinals when the Cougars eliminated the Green Wave with an 86-66 victory at Dickies Arena in March 2022, their ninth straight head-to-head win.
