The Saint Mary’s Gaels (26-6, 15-2 WCC) face off against the Gonzaga Bulldogs (27-5, 15-2 WCC) Tuesday at Orleans Arena in the West Coast Conference Tourney Championship.
Gonzaga defeated the San Francisco Dons 84-73 at Orleans Arena yesterday in the semifinals, their eighth win in a row. With 20 points, Anton Watson was the leading scorer. Drew Timme added 17 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
Saint Mary’s got the win in the semifinals yesterday at Orleans Arena, beating the BYU Cougars 76-69. Alex Ducas had 23 points and seven rebounds, leading the team.
Gonzaga and Saint Mary’s split their two matchups this season. The Bulldogs came out on top in the last meeting, beating the Gaels 77-68 at McCarthey Athletic Center on February 25. Timme led the Bulldogs with 19 points, while Watson played a key role with 17 points and eight rebounds.
