Allen Flanigan led Auburn with 18 points, while Justin Powell contributed 15 points, seven rebounds, and six assists. Michael Weathers had 11 points in the losing effort.
Texas Southern have been led so far this season by John Walker III (14.0 ppg), PJ Henry (13.5), and Barnes (12.0). Henry also has dished 2.5 assists per game.
