Free UFC Best Bets For UFC 277
Sat 30th July 2022

We are looking at an absolutely stacked card for UFC 277, on July 30th. The main event is a huge title fight and the co-main event is also a title fight.

Read on below to find out UFC Best Bets for this weekend’s UFC 277!

Julianna Pena © vs Amanda Nunes – Women’s Bantamweight Title

The much anticipated rematch for the women’s bantamweight title is here and it’ll take place at UFC 277. As Julianna Peña defends her title against the same woman she beat for it, Amanda Nunes. Peña has won twelve of her sixteen career fights and comes into this fight on a two winning streak and having won three out of her last four fights. The last time she and Amanda Nunes fought, Pena knocked her out in the second round back at UFC 269 to capture the women’s bantamweight championship. She’ll be looking to accomplish that feat again and win her third straight fight in a row.

Amanda Nunes comes into this fight hungry and ready to win her UFC women’s bantamweight championship back. In 26 career professional fights she’s won 21 of those bouts with the majority of them coming by knockout. Prior to her loss to Peña she was on a 12 foot winning streak and was the most unstoppable women mixed martial artist in the world in my opinion. She will be looking to recapture her belt and get even and potentially set up a trilogy between her and Juliana Pea with a win in this fight. However, I can’t see it happening as I have Pena beating her for the second Street time and retaining the women’s bantamweight championship by knockout.

Tony’s UFC Pick:

Pena (+210), By Knockout (+1000)

Brandon Moreno © vs Kai Kara-France – Flyweight Title

Brandon Moreno versus Kai Kara France is gonna be the best fight on the card in my opinion and could’ve easily deserve the main event slot if not for the highly anticipated rematch between Nunes and Peña. Brandon Moreno is looking to win back the UFC flyweight championship after winning it at UFC 263, but then losing it at UFC 270. This fight will be for the interim UFC flyweight champion and the winner will likely go on to face Deiveson Figueiredo. If Moreno win’s this fight and goes on to face the champion it’ll be the fourth time he and Figueiredo will have fought in the last four UFC events. He comes into this fight with a record of 19-6-2 in 27 career fights.

Kai Kara France is coming off of a huge knockout of Cody Garbrandt his last fight. He will be looking to use that momentum to get a win here and become the interim UFC flyweight champion. Out of his 34 professional fights he’s 124 of them and the majority of them have come by knockout. He is lightning quick and as Cody Garbrandt learned in his last fight he will knock you out in a split second and you won’t even see it coming, which shows exactly why they call this man “Don’t Blink”. I have him picking up the win over Brandon Moreno by knockout to become the Interim UFC flyweight champion of the world.

Tony’s UFC Pick:

Kara-France (+185), By Knockout (+600)

Derrick Lewis @ Sergei Pavlovich – Heavyweight

Derrick Lewis is the owner of the all-time UFC knockout record but he’s gonna face one of his toughest tests to date in this fight. In his 36 career professional fights he has 26 victories and 21 of those victories have come by knockout. He is a dangerous fighter who only needs one solid punch to put your lights out for good and add another win and knockout to his impressive record. However, he is coming off of a knockout loss and has lost two out of his last three fights so he will be looking for a momentum boost with a victory in this one.

Sergei Pavlovich is coming into this fight with only one loss in his 16 career professional mixed martial arts fights. 12 of his 15 victories have come by knockout while the remaining three have come by decision. In my opinion that makes this fight a little bit easier to handle for Lewis because he doesn’t have to worry about being submitted as Pavlovich is somewhat of a one dimensional fighter as well. He has not lost since his UFC debut nearly 4 years ago when he was defeated by Alistair Overeem. As he enters this fight on a three fight win streak that I expect to end. As I have Derrick Lewis getting the win.

Tony’s UFC Pick:

Lewis (+120), By Knockout (+150)
