Read on below to find out UFC Best Bets for this weekend’s UFC 275!

Glover Teixeira © vs Jiri Prochazka – Light Heavyweight Title Fight

The light heavyweight champion Glover to share it comes into this fight with 33 victories and 40 professional fights. He is one of the longest tenured and most dominant UFC fighters of all time and he will be looking to add another championship defense to his résumé in this one. The 42-year-old Brazilian is on a seven fight win streak and has picked up victories in eight of his last nine fights. His last loss came nearly 4 years ago to Corey Anderson by unanimous decision. He hasn’t been knocked out or submitted in over five years. Three of his last four fights have ended via rear naked choke victory and four of his last five have all ended with a finish for Teixeira.

Jiri Prochazka comes into this fight having picked up 28 victories in 32 professional fights as he has three losses and one no contest/draw as well. He is one of the most powerful fighters in mixed martial arts as 25 of his 28 victories have come via the knockout. He is on a 12  fight win streak and 18 of his last 19 fights have all resulted in victories. When you remove the draw from the equation 23 of his last 24 fights have all been victories as well. However, this will only be his third career UFC fight and while he is one performance of the night in both of his first two fights Glover Teixeira is an entirely different animal and that’s why I have to Teixeira up the victory via submission to retain his light heavyweight championship.

UFC Pick: Teixeira (+168), by Submission (+380)

Valentina Shevchenko © vs Taila Santos – Women’s Flyweight Title Fight

Valentina Shevchenko comes into this fight looking to defend her women’s Flyweight title. She comes into this title defense having picked up 22 victories in 25 professional fights. It’s pretty even across the board for Shevchenko as she has won eight fights by knockout, eight fights by submission, and seven fights by decision. She is currently on an eight fight winning streak and has picked up victories in 10 out of her last 11 fights. Her last loss came to Amanda Nunes 4 1/2 years ago by split Decision. In fact both of her Two career losses in the UFC have come to Amanda Nunes and both were by decision. She has never been knocked out or submitted inside a UFC octagon.

Taila Santos comes into this fight having won 19 out of her first 20 career professional fights. The Brazilian is currently the number four ranked women’s flyweight fighter in the world. 10 of her 19 victories have come by knockout, while five have come by submission, and six have come by decision. She is currently on a four fight winning streak and as shown by her record she has won 19 out of her last 20 fights. After losing her UFC debut in her home country by split decision she has bounced back to win her last for three of those wins have come by decision and one has come by submission with a rear naked choke. As for the result of this one however I’m going with Valentina Shevchenko to pick up the victory and defend her flyweight title by decision.

UFC Pick: Shevchenko (-750), by Points (+100)

Zhang Weili vs Joanna Jedrzejczyk – Women’s Strawweight Fight

Zhang Weili comes into this fight having picked up victories in 21 of her 24 career professional fights. 10 of those victories have come via knockout, While seven have come via submission, and four have come via decision. She is on a two fight losing streak as she has lost two fights in a row to Rose Namajunas. In fact her last win in the UFC came against the same girl she’ll be fighting tonight Joanna Jedrzejczyk. That win came via split decision back in March 2020. She will be looking to bounce back in this one as she will look to get back on track and pick up another victory over Joanna in their second meeting.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk comes into this fight having picked up 16 victories in her 20 career professional fights. The majority of those have come via decision as only five of her victories have come via knockout or submission. This will be her second straight fight against Zhang Weili as she has not fought inside the UFC in over two years. Things have been a bit bumpy for her as four of her last six fights have resulted in losses. I don’t look for her to be able to bounce back as I have her losing this fight via decision for the second straight event in a row.

UFC Pick: Weili (-168), By Points (+150)
