Top Premier League Predictions for Game Week 29

Top Premier League Predictions for Game Week 29
Fri 19th March 2021

With only a couple games on this weekend, we’ve handpicked 2 of the more interesting fixtures of the bunch to bring you our best picks and props for Game Week 29.

Fulham vs Leeds

Friday, March 19th, 4:00pm (EDT)

Two of the EPL’s freshly promoted teams are set to do battle in London today, and whilst Leeds will be safe for another year in the league, Fulham must start picking up points if they want to survive.

Fulham have experienced a slight resurgence in recent weeks, playing like a polar opposite of the team that started this season with just 7 points from their first 11 games.

Such is the new brand of high pressure, attacking football they are playing, that they have picked up 7 points from their last 5 games including a huge win away against Liverpool.

They go up against a Leeds outfit that have slumped in recent games, with their all out “Bielsa Ball” failing to equate to goals the way it did earlier in the season.

Over their last 5 games in the league, Leeds have been kept goalless 4 times, and have just 4 points to show for their efforts.

It looked like things had gone from bad to worse when their star striker, Patrick Bamford, left the Chelsea game injured, he has gotten the all clear to return though, and he will need to be at his best against Fulham, who had conceded just 1 goal in 4 games before facing Manchester City.

On paper this match should be great, both teams play an exhilarating game and do not stop pushing from the first, to final blow of the whistle.

Fulham have had a tough run of fixtures lately and face an equally difficult run ahead of them, this is a must win game and I think they will get the job done with goals at either end.

EPL Prediction: Fulham (+160)
Best Prop: Both Teams to Score: Yes (-133)

Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspur

Sunday, March 21st, 3:30pm (EDT)

All eyes are on Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham to see how they reply after their disgraceful 3-0 Europa League defeat in Zagreb, it would take a near perfect run from here to secure a prized Champions League football place.

Scenes aren’t much better for Aston Villa, who’ve won just 1 game from their last 5, and have seemingly lost their offensive flair, finding themselves just 2 points from the Spurs in 8th place.

Before crashing out of the Europa League in embarrassing fashion, Spurs had been playing better football in the league, short of a derby defeat to Arsenal in match day 28 they had won 3 in a row and scored 9 goals.

With just 8 goals scored in their previous 10 games, Aston Villa have lost their dark horse title in recent weeks. The omission of Jack Grealish due to injury has coincided with their dip in form, as they have seriously missed his creativity in the final third.

This match will mark the first time the teams have met this season as it was originally intended to be played in match day 18. Having bottled an easy chance to make it to the Europa League Quarter Finals, the pressure is on Mourinho more than ever.

If they fail to perform for the league’s remaining fixtures then questions will be asked about the future of the gaffer, and possibly even their star players.

They will be tested against this Villa side, who, for all their lack of output recently, have managed to keep the score lines low, and are a great chance for a draw here.

EPL Prediction: Draw (+230)
Best Prop: Under 2.5 Goals (-110)
