The action so far has been gripping, and we are certain to be in store for some more excitement today!

There is so much action to be had over the Group Stage, as 32 teams fight for the chance to make it to the Round of 16. There are eight groups in total with four teams in each group, and only the top two will make it through to the next round. Which teams will put their best foot forward and make it through to the next round?

Look below to find our free soccer picks for all the games on today’s FIFA World Cup schedule!

Argentina vs Saudi Arabia – 5AM ET

The day starts bright and early for us soccer fans, with the first game of the day between Argentina and Saudi Arabia starting at 5am. Argentina are considered one of the top teams in the tournament, and this is reflected in their odds to win the whole competition, currently at +500. Saudi Arabia are on the other side of things, as they have some of the worst odds to win the World Cup, currently at +60000. The two other teams in Group C include Mexico and Poland.

Tony Battalio

Lionel Messi will be playing his final World Cup during this 2022 edition. He has yet to capture a title, but this year could be his best shot yet as they open up the Group Stage with Saudi Arabia. Argentina comes in as the third ranked national team in the world and they certainly have earned that ranking as well. They shouldn’t have a problem getting the win over the Saudi’s in this game.

Saudi Arabia comes into this game as one of the very longshots to bring home the 2022 World Cup trophy. They are projected to be one of the worst teams at this year’s edition as well, which shows you just how much faith experts have in them to win it all. I don’t even look for them to put up a fight in this game, as I expect Messi and company to win this one in blowout fashion.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Argentina -2 (+120)

Argentina is coming to this World Cup as one of the favorites to win it all. They won the Copa America last year with a win over Brazil and followed that up by beating the European champions – Italy, in the Finalissima. This should be the last World Cup of their leader and, according to many, the greatest player of all time, Lionel Messi, which also gives them extra motivation if they ever needed that. Messi will once again be the star in the Argentina squad, having started this season on fire, scoring 12 goals and assisting in 14 of the 19 matches he has played for the champion of France, PSG.

Saudi Arabia is supposed to be the weakest squad in this group. They are World Cup royalty, but they’ve rarely produced significant accomplishments. They might have a chance to get a result against Poland or Mexico, but in this match – I give them none at all. I expect this to be the match Argentina announces to the World – they are coming to Qatar to be the champions. The Argentinians will start fast and create a lot of chances, and I expect them to get an early lead, which leads me to my bet of Argentina to be winning after 30 minutes.

Aleksandar’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Result After 30 mins – Argentina (-102)

Argentina is going into the 2022 FIFA World Cup as the third most favorable team to win and they fully deserve that rank. Lionel Messi is going to lead his national team to the biggest football stage for the last time and will give his best to take them to the top. The good news for the Argentinian fans is that this squad really looks like one that can attack the throne. They will have an easy opening day at the competition against Saudi Arabia. Argentina has not lost in the last 35 games going into this tournament and will start their journey in Qatar with a win.

Saudi Arabia is one of the best Asian teams and will have many supporters in Qatar. They will try to slow down the pace against Argentina and will not be very successful in it since they will not have much of the possession. In the last 16 games that Saudi Arabia has played, there haven’t been more than two goals scored, but this is where that trend ends. Argentina will make a statement in their opener beating Saudi Arabia by at least three goals differential.

Marko’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Argentina & Over Goals – 3.5 (+150)

Denmark vs Tunisia – 8AM ET

The next game up for your Tuesday viewing is Denmark against Tunisia, from Group D. Denmark have reasonable odds to win the tournament, and they are in the top half of the teams, currently at +2800. Tunisia sit towards the bottom of the rankings and they have some of the longest odds to win the tournament, currently at +40000. The other two teams competing in Group D are Australia and the defending champions, France.

Tony Battalio

Denmark comes into this game with average odds to bring home the title. They are just inside of the top ten in the world rankings, as they currently sit at 10th in the world. This is their sixth appearance in the World Cup and their best finish came in the 1998 edition where they finished as a quarterfinalist. This is their second straight World Cup and in 2018 they advanced out of the Group Stage.

Tunisia isn’t expected to make a ton of noise in this year’s tournament. They play in one of the harder groups against France and their opponents in this game, Denmark. They are currently ranked 30th in the latest world FIFA rankings. This will be their sixth World Cup appearance and their best finish came in 2006 and 2018 when they finished 24th out of 32 teams. They have never made it out of the Group Stage. I have Denmark getting the win in this game.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Denmark (-161)

Denmark is quietly approaching the status of a dark horse in the tournament. Their heroics in the European Championship brought them many fans and supporters. Their best player – Christian Eriksen suffering a heart attack in the middle of a match and almost dying, brought them even closer. They have come to the World Cup with some impressive wins in 2022. They have beaten the current world champions, France, twice and are looking to continue their good form in this tournament. Denmark is known for their sturdy defense, making it a nightmare for opponents to score against them. Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen is good enough on his own to unlock the opponents and create a goal.

Tunisia isn’t a bad team by any stretch of the imagination. If they had a better draw, I could see them having a chance to advance in the further stages of the tournament. However, drawing France and Denmark in their group was really unlucky and probably sealed their fate before the World Cup started. They will be looking to get a draw in this match and hope to win against Australia. Denmark is the favorite, but under 2.5 goals seems like the safer bet.

Aleksandar’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Under Goals – 2.5 (-172)

Denmark is one of the best European football teams that nobody talks about. They are the only team that stayed undefeated against France in the last World Cup and then made it to the semifinals of the Euro competition last year. Denmark has won 6 of the last 10 games with 4 losses and has defeated Tunisia 2-1 in their only previous matchup. They are a great defensive team and are able to keep a clean sheet against much better teams than Tunisia, which they will eventually do.

Tunisia is in great form lately winning 4 of the last 5 games with the only loss coming 5-1 against Brazil. Tunisia is confident that they can advance from the Group Stage and this is the game they need to survive in order to keep their chances alive. They will choose a defensive formation in the game against Denmark and may keep the game scoreless for a long period. Despite this, Denmark will create many scoring opportunities and converting at least one of them will get them a win in the opener.

Marko’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Denmark (-161)

Mexico vs Poland – 11AM ET

The third game on today’s schedule will see Mexico take on Poland. Mexico is in the middle of the pack in terms of odds, currently at +10000, and Poland has odds of +15000 to win the tournament. Mexico and Poland are competing in Group C, which also includes Argentina and Saudi Arabia, who also play today.

Tony Battalio

Mexico comes into this one looking to grab a huge win over a tough Polish side that is going to give them everything they can handle. They are an aging squad who’s golden generation is on their way out of their prime, as this could be their last World Cup together as a unit. They play in an extremely tough group and they will start off with a tough test in this one. Mexico will have to play a near perfect game in this one to grab the win.

Poland comes into this tournament with average odds to bring home the World Cup title. They are currently ranked just outside the top 25 of the FIFA world rankings, as they currently find themselves ranked 26th in the world. This is their ninth appearance in the World Cup and they have finished in third place twice. I expect them to grab the win over Mexico in this game.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Poland (+188)

Mexico is a proud soccer nation. They have never been an easy side to beat, and that continues to be the case. They are in a generational transition, but the amount of talent they do possess is unquestionable. They like to have the ball and play possession-based soccer which leaves them vulnerable at the back against better opponents, but serves them great against weaker opposition. Hirving Lozano is their most dangerous player, capable of producing magic at any moment. Poland is coming to this World Cup in shaky form. They had a disappointing European Championship, and there seems to be some transition in their playing style.

Poland usually is a physical team who defends and creates scoring opportunities by winning headers from free kicks or corners. Robert Lewandowski, their best player and one of the best strikers in the world for the past ten years, is living proof of that style. He has yet to score a single goal in a World Cup. However, in the past year, they’ve started playing some more possession-based soccer, which has left them vulnerable at the back. If they continue to do so, this should be a great match to watch for neutral fans. In my eyes, Mexico are the favorites, but my prediction is over 2.5 goals.

Aleksandar’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Over Goals – 2.5 (+135)

Mexico looks like a team that can surprise many at the 2022 World Cup. They have been eliminated in the Quarter-finals in the last seven World Cups and are determined to finally go one step further. In order to do that, they will first need to advance from the Group Stage and the first opponent is the main contender in that race. Mexico has lost 3 of the last 5 games going into the World Cup and has only 4 wins in the last 10.

Poland found its way to their second consecutive appearance at the World Cup. They have one of the best strikers in the world on their squad in Robert Lewandowski, who is having a good season in Barcelona. Lewandowski failed to score in the 2018 World Cup and will try to put an end to that negative trend right away. Poland depends a lot on his performance and their chance will be slim if Lewandowski is stopped by the Mexican defense. This will be a tough matchup and real battle with gloves off. Both teams will try to win the three points and get themselves close to the next round, which will result in goals on both sides.

Marko’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Both Teams Score (+100)

France vs Australia – 2PM ET

The defending champions kick off their campaign in the final game on Tuesday afternoon, when they take on Australia. Unsurprisingly, France has some of the lowest odds to take home the trophy once again, with odds of +800. While Australia are sitting towards the back of the pack in terms of tournament winning odds, as they are currently listed at +40000. These two teams are battling in Group D, which also includes Denmark and Tunisia.

Tony Battalio

France are the defending World Cup champions and now they are back looking to repeat. They have a very powerful team and they are capable of running the table again this year. They come into this one with some of the lowest odds to win it all. However, they have potentially lost one of their best players due to an injury picked up in training, as Karim Benzema is likely going to be out for an extended period of time.

Australia has a massive uphill climb in this game and they are certainly longshots to win the tournament. They will have to play a low block and try to score a breakaway goal to get a miracle win or draw. I just don’t think they have it in them, as I expect the French to run away with this game and open their defense of their title with another win.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

France -2 (+185)

France is the reigning world champion, but the team coming to Qatar looks like the shadow of the powerhouse that dominated the World Cup in 2018. The 2022 Golden Ball winner, as the best player in the world, Karim Benzema, was injured in training this week and is officially out of the tournament. This is a huge blow for the French team who also comes with a weakened midfield, as Pogba and Kante are both injured. These three are probably the best players in the world in their position, and they can’t be replaced, even in a team with as deep a squad as France have. That leaves everything at the feet of France’s best player and a soccer superstar, Kylian Mbappe.

Australia, even with a full squad, doesn’t have the quality to compete with the likes of France and Denmark. To add to that, they are coming to the World Cup with huge injury concerns. I am worried for them in this matchup. France is a wounded beast with a heart of a champion, and this could end up being an embarrassing result. It wouldn’t surprise me for France to score 5 goals against Australia, maybe even more. My prediction is for the over in goals.

Aleksandar’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Over Goals – 3.5 (+165)

France is going into the 2022 World Cup as defending champions and second favorite to win according to the odds. The older football fans still remember what happened to France the last time they were defending champions losing to Senegal in the opener of the next tournament and finishing the competition in the Group Stage. With that lesson learned, France will go strong against Australia. However, the absence of the Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema will be felt and France will have to rely on the other strikers such as Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud. Kylian Mbappe is the motor of this team and the kind of player that can decide a game by himself.

Australia is a quality team that can make some noise in Qatar. They have become a regular participant at the World Cup and with the gained experience, they are a team that deserves all the respect. Although ,that will not lead them anywhere else other than a loss against France. The defending champions will have full control of the possession and convert on a couple of occasions to start by winning the three points.

Marko’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

France (-385)
