Look below to find our free soccer picks for all the games on today’s FIFA World Cup schedule!

Wales vs Iran – 5AM ET

The first game of the day will see Wales take on Iran, from Group B. Wales played the USA in their first game of the World Cup, and that clash ended in a draw, 1-1. Iran’s first game was against England, and it was not a good scoreline, with Iran losing 6-2.

Tony Battalio

Wales comes into the second game of their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign after surviving a game with the United States and stealing a point in the final moments. Now they will be looking to grab a win over Iran and put themselves in a great position to advance with a win or draw against England in their final Group Stage game of the 2022 World Cup next week. Gareth Bale will once again be the key to this team’s success in this Group Stage game.

Iran will absolutely have to bounce back in this game after getting absolutely trashed by England on Monday morning. If they don’t get at least a point in this game they will be officially eliminated and have nothing left to play for in their last Group Stage game next Tuesday. They will certainly have a lot of mistakes to clean up after their terrible performance the other day, and truthfully I do not think it will happen, as I have Wales grabbing the win in this game.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Wales (+120)

The last match of Wales against the USA was a typical tale of two halves. In the first half, the Welsh sat deep and absorbed the attacks of the Americans. The counter-attacking lanes got cut off, and the national team of Wales looked clawless. Going down 1-0 forced them to start opening up and attacking more. It was a blessing in disguise because the second half gave them the blueprint of how to play in this match against Iran. The giant of a man, Kieffer Moore, must start this game, as he will cause all kinds of problems to the Iranian defense. That will open more space for Gareth Bale, and we all know how lethal he is.

Iran looked like an amateur team in the match against England. It appears the problems in their country are taking a psychological toll, and they didn’t seem focused on the game at all. I hope they turn it around because if they lose this game, they are practically out of the tournament. However, Wales looks to be a far better team in this World Cup, so I am backing them to win this match. Moore will probably score a goal or two, and if you are brave, that’s a bold bet to make.

After 64 years, Wales played in its first World Cup game against the USA. They entered that match as small underdogs and were by far the worst team on the field for the majority of the contest, yet they still managed to get a point thanks to Gareth Bale’s equalizer from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute. In that contest, Wales only held 41% of the ball and completed nearly 200 fewer passes than the Americans.

Iran didn’t have any luck in the World Cup draw as they opened up the competition in a game against the best team in the group, England. Things didn’t go well at all for Carlos Queiroz’s team as they lost 6-2. Wales is now in a considerably better position than Iran, and both teams need to win in order to keep their chances alive for the elimination phase. With that on their mind, this will be an open game with a lot of shots and both teams will score by the end.

Marko’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Both Teams Score (+105)

Qatar vs Senegal – 8AM ET

Home team Qatar will be looking to bounce back against Senegal in their second game of the World Cup. Qatar had a 2-0 loss in their first game, at the hands of Educador. It was the exact same story for Senegal in their first game as well, they went down to Netherlands, 2-0.

Tony Battalio

Qatar had a miserable showing in their first ever World Cup game on Sunday afternoon, as they looked completely overmatched by Ecuador. Now they will be looking to bounce back in their second game and if they don’t end up earning at least a point they could find themselves officially eliminated from the 2022 World Cup on their home soil before even playing their third and final World Cup Group Stage matchup.

Senegal comes into this game after losing to the Netherlands in their first World Cup Group Stage game. Now they are in the same boat as the hosts, as they will have to earn a point in this game or they will likely be officially eliminated from advancing to the Round of 16. They are very capable of getting the win in this game and all signs point to them getting an easy one.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Senegal (-159)

The national team of Qatar had a mediocre showing in the opening match against Ecuador. Sloppy passes, combined with bad defensive communication and understanding. That put the team under pressure from the start. They gave up two goals in the first half, and the gameplay was even worse. They could have been down by five goals before the referee blew the whistle for half-time. In the second half, Qatar tightened up their ranks, or they might have had an easier time because the opposing team was satisfied with the result, and they pulled the brakes a bit. They will have to do much better in this match if they want to come out with a positive result.

Senegal played well against the imposing Netherlands team. The injury of Sadio Mane has left a significant gap in the attacking area of the pitch, and it will take a great team effort to fill it. On paper, this seems like the perfect match for Senegal to find their goal-scoring form and try to get confidence for future matches. Senegal is the much better team, and this should be a relatively easy game for them. Senegal wins.

We were all excitedly anticipating the 2022 World Cup, and Qatar, the host country, was no exception. Qatar is competing in their first World Cup, and based on their performance against Ecuador, they have very little chance of making it out of Group A. They are clearly well below the required standard for such a contest, so it will be a small miracle if they even manage to score a goal there.

Senegal, in contrast, demonstrated why they are the current African champions. They proved to be a tough opponent in the match against the Netherlands even without their star player Sadio Mane, as they nearly finished the game undefeated. Senegal is a significantly superior team than Qatar, and like Ecuador, they will control the match from the opening minutes. Senegal may need some time to score the first goal, but they will undoubtedly do it and go on to win the game, maintaining their prospects of moving on to the knockout round.

Netherlands vs Ecuador – 11AM ET

Netherlands and Ecuador will both be looking to extend their winning streak, as both teams won their first game here at the World Cup. Netherlands proved too good for Senegal, beating them 2-0, while Ecuador beat their opponent, Qatar, also by a score of 2-0.

Tony Battalio

The Netherlands opened their World Cup campaign with a win over Qatar and now they will be looking to win this second straight game when they meet Ecuador. They are a serious dark horse team to make a deep run and find themselves with a top four finish. If they can manage to get a point in this game, then it is all but certain that they will find themselves going into the Round of 16.

Ecuador comes into this game after an opening match win over the host country Qatar. Now with another win in this game, they will secure their spot in the knockout stages of the 2022 World Cup. They should provide a solid opponent for this Dutch side and this game is certainly going to be close throughout, so in the end I’m expecting a draw.

Draw (+260)

The Netherlands has a vast amount of expectations for this competition. They beat Senegal in the first round, a team that is supposed to be their main rival for first place in the group, so now they can focus on themselves and improve their overall play. They showed some weakness in the first match, as de Ligt was having all sorts of problems playing out of position as a right back, and de Jong often found himself thinking ahead of his teammates and giving away the ball in dangerous situations. On the bright side, the budding young star – Cody Gakpo scored his first goal in the World Cup, and he could be a real difference-maker.

Ecuador won the first game against Qatar, but now the road gets trickier. They showed impressive quality on the ball and displayed great discipline on defense. A draw in this game suits them perfectly and would go a long way to improve their chances of advancing through the next round of the competition. I expect this to be a tactical, physical battle with two teams more interested in protecting their own net rather than scoring a goal. The Netherlands are the favorites, but I would rather take the under 2.5 goals bet.

Aleksandar’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Under Goals – 2.5 (-138)

This game will feature two teams that both won their World Cup opening games. In contrast to the Netherlands, who required two late goals to get past Senegal’s defense, Ecuador had a simple task against the home country. However, the stakes are quite high, and both Netherlands and Ecuador are going into this game with a great level of confidence. Although splitting the points could benefit both sides, it seems doubtful that the Netherlands would aim for a draw.

The Oranje will generate more opportunities and might even win this game as they are the slight favorites. The injury report and the likelihood that double-goal scorer Enner Valencia will be able to start this game will have a significant impact on Ecuador’s performance. Ecuador demonstrated that they are a strong group that plays well, and they have the potential to be one of the biggest surprises at the World Cup. They won’t back down in the face of a stronger opponent and will take advantage of opportunities. Despite the fact that the Netherlands are the favorites, it would be smarter to wager on both teams scoring.

Both Teams Score (-105)

England vs USA – 2PM ET

The final game on Friday is a doozy as we see England go up against the USA. England put on a clinic in their first game against Iran, winning 6-2. The USA didn’t get off to the start they were looking for, as their first game ended in a 1-1 draw with Wales.

Tony Battalio

The English national team absolutely demolished the Iran side in their first World Cup Group Stage match. Now they will be looking to potentially put the United States on the brink of elimination as well. They come into this game with all the momentum after thrashing Iran by a score of 6-2 and they look like one of the best teams in the tournament so far.

The United States all but officially had the game won against Wales on Monday before giving up a late penalty kick and allowing them to end the game in a one all draw. Now they will be looking to bounce back and grab a win against a world class England side in their second World Cup Group Stage matchup. I expect this one to be the best game of the day and for the result I am going with an United States upset win.

Tony’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

USA (+575)

England had an impressive showing against a mediocre Iranian team. However, they found themself allowing two goals, and that is something Southgate would like to rectify for sure. Harry Kane had an ankle injury scare, but according to the media reports, he should be ready to start this game. Sterling seems revitalized when playing for the national team and looks like a constant danger to the opponents. Jude Bellingham looked like an up-and-coming superstar as he scored his first goal in a big competition. Was that showing real, or were the Iranians that bad on the day? I guess we will see.

The USA started the match against Wales impressively. They were on the front foot, pressed high, and created a lot of chances. However, in the second half, they seemed to run out of energy, and their defensive lanes separated more and more, and Wales started finding open spaces. I expect them to, once again, enter the match fearlessly and put England under pressure. However, they must keep their energy levels consistent because this England team is deadly and will punish any mistakes. England is the favorite, but I can see the USA scoring first and opening up the match, so there should be a lot of goals.

Aleksandar’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Over Goals – 2.5 (-138)

With a 6-2 victory over Iran, England got their 2022 World Cup off to an incredible start. Given that England is the clear favorite to win this group, that result was expected. Team USA performed well against Wales, but their draw has a significant impact on their situation. They will now have to try to defeat England, but may not be as difficult as it seems. The USA hasn’t lost against England in any of their two World Cup games, but they haven’t won against England in 72 years. This data proves the intense rivalry between these two teams, which transcends sport.

There is no reason to adjust either team’s offensive focus, especially the USA. They demonstrated how they play modern football, which involves a lot of passing down the midfield and will take advantage of any gaps in the England defense. There are several excellent strikers on Gareth Southgate’s list, and many of them made an impact against Iran. To cut a long tale short, this will be a free-flowing game in which both sides will attack, resulting in at least three goals by the end.

Marko’s FIFA World Cup Pick:

Over Goals – 2.5 (-138)
