The 2021 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full swing! With just the one game on the agenda today we have had plenty of time to research the fixture in depth and bring you the absolute best predictions. Have a read below for all our NHL picks.
Tampa Bay Lightning @ New York Islanders (Semi Final – Game 4) – 8.00 PM EDT
Yanni Gourde opened the scoring early with a well timed strike to claim an early lead, and despite a multitude of chances the score was deadlocked until the back end of the second term when Cal Clutterback reduced the deficit.
The tie didn’t last long, with the aptly named, and incredibly inform Brayden Point scoring for his 6th straight game to reclaim the lead, assisted by none other than the textbook combo of Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman.

Scoring shots were fairly evenly spread between the two teams, with the Lightning taking three less shots than the Islanders, owing much of their win to the heroics of the ever consistent Andrei Vasilevskiy in net.
The Islanders were quite sound defensively, but as expected could only keep out the Lightning star men for so long, resulting in the drop of a crucial game as they prepare to redeem themselves today.
The Islanders have been solid so far when bouncing back from a defeat of this nature, but in a game that is likely to be decided by how clinical either side can be in front of a tight defensive setup we have to think the Lightning take another win.
