The Los Angeles Kings (33-20-8), one of the NHL’s top power play offenses, head to face the Winnipeg Jets (35-24-1) and their stifling penalty killing defense at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday. Los Angeles is wrapping up a five-game road trip coming off a 5-2 loss against the Rangers on Sunday.
The Kings committed four penalties in the game, conceding one power play goal. Viktor Arvidsson and Matt Roy both scored once for the Kings.
Phillip Danault had two assists to lead the team in scoring. Jonathan Quick started in the loss and only had four saves on seven shots against (.571%).
Winnipeg dropped their third straight game, falling 4-0 to the Islanders on Sunday. David Rittich saved only 20 of 23 shots against (.869%) in the loss.
