The NHL’s two most penalized teams are set to square off at Canadian Tire Centre on Monday, as the Florida Panthers (36-30-7) are on the road to take on the Ottawa Senators (35-33-5).
Florida is embarking on a four-game road trip coming off a 4-3 loss against the Rangers on Saturday, their third straight defeat. The Panthers committed four penalties in the game, though they held New York without a power play goal.
Aleksander Barkov was the top goalscorer for the Panthers with two goals. Sergei Bobrovsky only had 38 saves on 42 shots against (.904%) in the loss.Ottawa fell 5-3 to the Devils on Saturday.
Brady Tkachuk, Thomas Chabot, and Mark Kastelic scored one apiece for the Senators. Tim Stuetzle had two assists to lead the team in scoring. Dylan Ferguson saved only 30 of 34 shots against (.882%) in the loss.
