The Los Angeles Kings (45-25-10) and their opportunistic power play offense host the Vancouver Canucks (36-36-7), the league’s weakest penalty killing team, at Crypto.com Arena on Monday. Vancouver is coming off a 3-2 shootout win over the Flames on Saturday.
The Canucks committed only two penalties in the game, yet still conceded a power play goal. Elias Pettersson and Cole McWard both scored once for the Canucks. Thatcher Demko had a great performance with 41 saves (.953%) in the win.
Los Angeles lost for the third game in a row, falling 4-3 to the Avalanche on Saturday. Adrian Kempe scored twice to lead the Kings. Pheonix Copley saved only 19 of 23 shots against (.826%) in the loss.

The Canucks have won two of the three games between the teams this season, although the Kings were 4-1 victors in their most recent meeting on April 2. Four players had two points for Los Angeles. Brock Boeser scored Vancouver’s only goal. Joonas Korpisalo got the win, saving 24 of 25 shots (.960%).
