Tampa Bay defeated Nashville on Monday night, 5-2. Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 29 of 31 shots and Yanni Gourde added a pair of goals to lead the offense. That moved the Lightning to 5-1-1, tied for first in the Central. They have scored 24 goals while giving up 16, giving them a +8 goal differential, second best in the division.
Vasilevskiy has been the man this year, starting all seven games. He has a 2.14 GAA and a .926 save percentage. Van Riemsdyk is tied for the team lead in goals with five and leads the team in points with 13. Brian Elliott earned the victory, giving him a 2.22 GAA and a .932 save percentage. Carter Hart will likely be between the pipes for this game.
He has made seven starts the season with a 3.33 GAA and a .900 save percentage. Philadelphia is seven-to-one, tied for first in the East. They have scored 35 goals while allowing 31. The team is 5-1-0 at home this season.
