Boston Bruins @ New York Rangers – 7:00 PM ET

The red-hot Boston Bruins are 7-0-1 in their last eight games after they swept Philadelphia last week, including a 2-1 victory on Friday. Boston is now 8-1-2 overall, tied for tops in the East Division.

They have been sensational on both ends of the ice, scoring 36 goals while allowing only 24, giving them a +12 goal differential, the best in the division. Boston is 4-1-2 on the road the season.

The combination of Jaroslav Halak (1.72, .923) and Tuukka Rask (2.36, .898) have been ridiculously good this year. They are making it so that opponents have virtually no chance each night.

The Bruins are led in scoring by Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron who each have 15 points. Marchand leads the team in goals with seven.

The Rangers lost the Islanders on Monday, 2-0. That snapped their streak of five straight games of earning at least one point. New York is now 4-5-2, tied with New Jersey and Buffalo for the bottom position in the East Division.

They have scored 29 goals while allowing 30. Igor Shesterkin was very impressive against the Islanders, stopping 28 of 30 shots. He has taken over the No. 1 goaltending duties with a 2.31 GAA and a .916 save percentage. New York is led in scoring by Artemi Panarin with 15 points but he is the only Rangers player with at least 10 points this season.

NHL Pick – Boston Bruins (-150)
Spread Pick – Boston Bruins -1.5 (+165)
Total Goals Pick – Over 5.5 (-115)

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Montréal Canadiens – 7:00 PM ET

It is a battle of the top two teams in the North on Wednesday. Toronto defeated Vancouver on Monday, 3-1. They are 7-0-1 in their last eight games and are 10-2-1 overall. That has them atop the North Division.

They have scored 48 goals while allowing 34. The Maple Leafs are 4-1-1 on the road this season. Toronto is led in scoring by Mitchell Marner who has 21 points, third most in the NHL.

Auston Matthews leads the team with 11 goals and is second on the team with 15 points. Five players on Toronto have at least 11 points this season. Frederik Andersen is getting into a groove. He now has a 2.65 GAA and a .904 save percentage. Andersen has allowed just one goal and each of his last two starts.

Montréal defeated Ottawa on Saturday, 2-1. That moves the Canadiens to 8-2-2, second in the North. They have scored 48 goals while allowing 31, giving them a +17 goal differential, tied for the best in the NHL.

The combination of Jake Allen (1.81, .940) and Carey Price (2.81, .899) have been outstanding. It is likely that Price will be between the pipes on Wednesday. Montréal has five players with at least 10 points this season, led by Jeff Petry with 14 points. Tyler Toffoli is second on the team with 13 points and leads Montréal with nine goals.

NHL Pick – Montréal Canadiens (+115)
Spread Pick – Montréal Canadiens +1.5 (-341)
Total Goals Pick – Over 5.5 (-120)
