Pittsburgh Penguins @ Boston Bruins – 7:00 PM ET

Since dropping the first two games of the season, the Pittsburgh Penguins have been on a roll. They won their fourth straight game on Sunday, defeating the New York Rangers, 3-2. It was their first victory of the season in regulation time. Pittsburgh was trailing entering the third period, but goals by Jared McCann and Jake Guentzel put Pittsburgh on top.

Tristan Jarry stopped 24 of 26 shots for the win. Interestingly enough, despite being two games over .500, Pittsburgh has given up two more goals than they have scored. Sidney Crosby leads the team in scoring with seven points (3G, 4A). Casey DeSmith will likely be in net for Pittsburgh. He has a 2.76 GAA and a .871 save percentage.

Boston enters as winners of two straight after defeating Philadelphia on Saturday, 6-1. The Bruins held a 3-1 lead entering the third, but two goals by Brad Marchand and a tally by Patrice Bergeron put this contest out of reach.  Jaroslav Halak had an easy night, facing just 17 shots.

Halak has been spectacular early on, posting a 1.44 GAA into starts. Tuukka Rask will likely be in net. Rask has a 2.23 GAA and a .892 save percentage. Lost and is led in scoring by Marchard, who leads the team in goals (3), assists (4), and total points (7).  The Bruins are Na+ five, scoring 15 goals while allowing.

NHL Pick – Boston Bruins -141
NHL Spread – Pittsburgh Penguins +1.5 (-220)
Game Totals Pick – Over 6.0 (+105)

New York Rangers @ Buffalo Sabres – 7:00 PM ET

New York lost their third straight game, falling to Pittsburgh on Sunday, 3-2. The Rangers held the lead heading into the third period, but gave up two goals, including the game-winner with less than two minutes left in the contest. That drops New York to 1-3-1. They have scored 13 goals while allowing 15.

The Rangers are led by Artemi Panarin with six points. He is tied for the team lead in goals with two. Both New York goaltenders have GAAs under 3.00. Alexandar Georgiev will likely be in net for this contest. He has a 2.40 GAA and a .907 save percentage.

Buffalo snapped a two-game skid with a 4-3 shootout victory over the Washington Capitals. Colin Miller had a goal and an assist for the team, his first two points of the season.

Jack Eichel leads Buffalo in scoring with seven assists. Taylor Hall is second with one goal and five assists (6 points). Carter Hutton will likely be back in net. He has a 2.65 GAA and a .899 save percentage.

NHL Pick – New York Rangers (-111)
NHL Spread – New York Rangers +1.5 (-286)
Game Totals Pick – Under 6.5 (-120)

Philadelphia Flyers @ New Jersey Devils – 7:00 PM ET

After opening the season with two victories over the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Philadelphia Flyers find themselves struggling, losing three of their last four. That includes a 6-1 defeat against Boston on Saturday. Despite this, the Flyers are at 3-2-1, scoring 20 goals but allowing 22.

Carter Hart has been the primary netminder for Philadelphia, posting a 4.18 GAA and a .880 save percentage. Brian Elliott has been brilliant, with a 1.31 GAA and may find himself as the starting goaltender. Kevin Hayes leads Philadelphia with eight points. Travis Konecny is tied for second was seven points and has five goals to lead the club.

New Jersey got an outstanding start out of Scott Wedgwood who stopped all 28 shots he faced in a 2-0 victory over the Islanders on Sunday. That moved New Jersey to 3-1-1. They have been exceptional between the pipes, allowing only 11 goals the season. Mackenzie Blackwood has a ridiculous 1.90 GAA in three starts, posting a .948 save percentage.

Wedgwood is right behind him a 2.00. Jack Hughes leads the team in scoring with seven points, however, New Jersey has just 11 goals this season. Hughes and Miles Wood each have three goals the season, as the team is looking for someone else to step up.

NHL Pick – New Jersey Devils (+140)
NHL Spread – New Jersey Devils +1.5 (-463)
Game Totals Pick – Under 5.5 (+105)

New York Islanders @ Washington Capitals – 7:00 PM ET

New York was shut out by New Jersey on Sunday, 2-0. Ilya Sorokin was great in net for the Islanders, stopping 22 of 24 shots. Goaltending has been spectacular for New York this season, allowing eight goals in five games.

Semyon Varlamov has allowed only one goal in his three starts, posting a 0.33 GAA and a .988 save percentage. The problem for the Islanders is that they simply cannot score goals, netting nine in five games. Three different players have two goals and Matthew Barzal leads the team with four points.

Washington lost to Buffalo in a shootout on Sunday, 4-3. That moves Washington to 3-0-3, giving them a six-game consecutive point streak. It has been goal scoring that has carried this team, putting in 22 so far this season.

Niklas Backstrom leads the team with seven points and four goals. Six players have at least five points for Washington already. Tom Wilson and Jakub Vrana have three goals and three assists apiece. Vitek Vanacek has been solid in net with a 2.87 GAA and a .912 save percentage.

NHL Pick – New York Islanders (-141)
NHL Spread – Washington Capitals +1.5 (-455)
Game Totals Pick – Under 5.5 (-125)

Florida Panthers @ Columbus Blue Jackets – 7:00 PM ET

The Florida Panthers will be playing just their third game of the season on Tuesday night. Florida opened with a pair of victories over Chicago, including a 5-4 victory in overtime on the 19th. Chris Drieger was the opening-night starter and will likely be in net for this game as well.

He allowed two goals on 30 shots, giving him a .933 save percentage. Patric Hornqvist and Jonathan Huberdeau are both off to a hot start, each with four points. Hornqvist already has three goals through the first two games.

Columbus finally knocked Tampa Bay from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 5-2 victory over the Lightning on Saturday. That moved to Columbus to 2-2-2, tied for tops in the division. Elvis Merzlikins had a huge night in net, stopping 30 of 32 shots.

However, it will likely be Joonas Korpisalo between the pipes against Florida. He has a 2.34 GAA and a .935 save percentage. Columbus has had some challenges scoring goals, recording just 15 through the first six games. Alexandre Texier and Oliver Bjorkstrand are tied for the team lead in points with five each. Nick Foligno leads the Blue Jackets with three goals.

NHL Pick – Columbus Blue Jackets (-120)
NHL Spread – Florida Panthers +1.5 (-243)
Game Totals Pick – Over 5.5 (-125)

Chicago Blackhawks @ Nashville Predators – 8:00 PM ET

The Chicago Blackhawks are suddenly turning things around, winning their second straight game, defeating the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, 6-2. After losing their first four games they suddenly find themselves at 2-3-1 and in the thick of the Central Division.

Pius Suter led Chicago with a hat trick and Kevin Lankinen stopped at 25 of 27 shots to earn the victory. Lankinen may have earned himself the No. 1 goalie position, lowering his GAA to 2.63 and increasing his save percentage to .909. Patrick Kane leads Chicago in scoring with seven points.

After winning their first two games of the season, Nashville finds themselves struggling, losers of three straight games. That included a 3-2 loss against Dallas on Sunday. Nashville got two assists from Viktor Arvidsson in the loss. Arvidsson leads the team with five points.

Goal scoring has been a major issue for the Predators, who have just 12 through the first five games. Nashville is still looking for All-Star goaltender Pekka Rinne to get his game in order, as he has a 3.78 GAA and a .839 save percentage. Juuse Saros is looking like he will take over the No.1 spot.

NHL Pick – Nashville Predators (-161)
NHL Spread – Chicago Blackhawks +1.5 (-164)
Game Totals Pick – Over 6.0 (-110)

Edmonton Oilers @ Winnipeg Jets – 8:00 PM ET

Edmonton earned a 4-3 victory over Winnipeg on Sunday. That moved the Oilers to 3-4-0. They are two points behind Winnipeg for third place in the North. Edmonton got three assists from superstar Connor McDavid and a goal and an assist from Leon Draisaitl to help spur the victory.

McDavid leads the team with 10 points and Draisaitl is right behind with nine. Four players on this team have at least six points. Mikko Koskinen continues to be a workhorse in the net, starting all seven games. He has a 3.18 GAA and a .907 save percentage.

After the loss, Winnipeg dropped to 4-2-0. They are getting solid goaltending out of No. 1 netminder Connor Hellebuyck, who has a 2.25 GAA and a .920 save percentage in four games.

The Jets are getting outstanding performance from their top line as Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele each have nine points. Connor is tied with Nikolaj Ehlers with four goals apiece. Winnipeg scored 22 goals the season and allowed 17.

NHL Pick – Winnipeg Jets (-105)

Los Angeles earned a 6-3 victory over St. Louis on Sunday. The Kings are now 2-2-2. Anze Kopitar had a goal and two assists and Adrian Kempe added two assists to lead Los Angeles. Jonathan Quick continues to look much better, stopping 28 of 31 shots.

After a very rough start to the season, Quick has now lowered his goals-against average to 3.15 and raised his save percentage to .898. Kopitar raised his point total to 10, double that of the next highest scorer on the team. Los Angeles has proven to be the model of consistency, not only with an even record but also with 20 goal scored and 20 goals allowed.

Minnesota dropped a 5-3 game to San Jose on Sunday. The loss dropped the Wild to 4-2-0 on the season, keeping them two points behind Vegas in the West Division.

Minnesota continues to get exceptional goaltending behind Cam Talbot (2.34 GAA) and Kaapo Kahkonen (2.27). Both have save percentages above .920. Minnesota is led in scoring by Kirill Kaprizov with six points. The leading goal scorer is Joel Ericksson with three.

NHL Pick – Minnesota wild (-161)
NHL Spread – Los Angeles Kings +1.5 (-194)
Game Totals Pick – Over 5.5 (-116)

Detroit Red Wings @ Dallas Stars – 8:30 PM ET

Detroit dropped their second straight game to Chicago on Sunday, losing 6-2. The Red Wings are 2-4-0 and have the worst goal differential in the division at -8. Offense has been a major problem for Detroit as they have just 12 goals the season, led by Dylan Larkin with three goals and three assists (six points).

Tyler Bertuzzi also has three goals and Bobby Ryan has four. That means three players have combined for 10 of the teams 12 goals. The goaltending has been acceptable to this point. Thomas Greiss leads the team with a 2.74 GAA and a .9 .8 save percentage.

Dallas got a very late start to the season, not playing in their first game until this last Friday, but they have started out ridiculously hot, sweeping Nashville in a pair of games. After beating Nashville 7-0 on Friday, they returned with a 3-2 performance on Sunday.

Anton Khudobin started both games and has a 1.00 GAA and a .961 save percentage. Joe Pavelski has seven points through the first two games, including a team-leading three goals. Pavelski, John Klingberg, and Roope Hintz each have four assists.

NHL Pick – Dallas Stars (-200)
NHL Spread – Dallas Stars -1.5 (+129)
Game Totals Pick – Over 5.5 (+110)

St. Louis Blues @ Vegas Golden Knights – 9:00 PM ET

St. Louis lost to Los Angeles on Sunday, dropping them to 3-2-1. Their seven points ranks third in the West Division. St. Louis has given up 23 goals while scoring 17. The -6 goal differential is the worst in the division.

The team has got solid goaltending out of Jordan Binnington with a 2.53 GAA and a .913 save percentage. However, his backup has been abysmal. Jordan Kyrou leads the team in scoring with six points. Brayden Schenn is leading the team with four goals and has five points overall.

After losing their first game of the season, Vegas responded with a 1-0 victory over Arizona on Sunday. Marc-Andre Fleury faced only 16 shots but handled them all masterfully. The only goal of the game was scored by William Karlsson in the third.

Fleury has been awesome this season, posting a goals-against average of 1.00 in three starts with a .951 save percentage. Mark Stone leads the team in scoring with eight points.

Shea Theodore has the most goals with three and is second on the team in points with six. The Golden Knights have scored 19 goals the season while allowing only seven. Their +7 is the best in the division.

NHL Pick – Vegas Golden Knights (-147)
NHL Spread – Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+170)
Game Totals Pick – Under 6.0 (-120)

Toronto Maple Leafs @ Calgary Flames – 9:00 PM ET

Toronto beat Calgary on Sunday for their fourth victory out of their last five games. That moved the Maple Leafs to 5-2-0, tied for the top spot in the North Division. Toronto has scored 22 goals this season while allowing 19.

Goaltending has been outstanding for the Maple Leafs. Frederik Andersen has a 2.81 GAA and a .898 save percentage while Jack Campbell comes in at 2.00 for his GAA and .923 for save percentage. The team is led in scoring by Mitchell Marner who has 10 points. He also leads in goals (4), tied with John Tavares, and assists (6).

With the loss, Calgary dropped to 2-1-1. They have allowed only nine goals the season while scoring 13. Goaltending has been solid behind Jacob Markstrom, who has started all four games and has a 2.26 GAA and a .928 save percentage. The team is led in scoring by Johnny Gaudreau, Elias Lindholm, and Sean Monahan, who each have five points. Matthew Tkachuk leads the team with three goals.

NHL Pick – Calgary Flames (-105)
NHL Spread – Calgary Flames +1.5 (-297)
Game Totals Pick – Under 6.5 (-120)

San Jose Sharks @ Colorado Avalanche – 9:00 PM ET

San Jose is coming of a 5-3 victory over Minnesota, scoring two goals in the final two minutes of the game to earn the victory. That moves the Sharks to 3-3-0, tied for fourth in the division with Colorado.

Martin Jones stopped 26 of 29 shots he faced and continues to give San Jose just enough goaltending to keep them competitive. He has a 3.06 GAA and a .894 save percentage.

The problem for San Jose has been that in previous seasons they have been able to count on a stellar offense to make up for the blemishes of Jones, but not this year. This is a team with just 19 goals through their first six games, led by Hertl with three goals and four assists. Each of those numbers, including his seven total points leads the team.

Colorado is coming off of a 3-1 loss to Anaheim. John Gibson shut down Colorado, stopping 32 of 33 shots. What was most disappointing was that Philipp Grubauer looked like he is a little tired from all the work, stopping just 12 of 14 shots.

Grubauer has been one of the best the season with a 2.01 GAA and a .923 save percentage. As long as Pavel Francouz is out, Grubauer will be the man. Nathan MacKinnon leads the team in scoring with eight points (2G, 6A). Mikko Rantanen is the leading goal scorer with five.

NHL Pick – Colorado Avalanche (-222)
NHL Spread – Colorado Avalanche -1.5 (+115)
Game Totals Pick – Over 6.0 (-111)

Anaheim Ducks @ Arizona Coyotes – 9:00 PM ET

Anaheim snapped a two-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over Colorado. John Gibson led the way with 32 saves, moving his team to 2-2-2 on the season. Gibson has been spectacular, posting a 2.01 GAA and a .938 save percentage.

He has allowed 10 goals while saving 150 shots. The Ducks have only allowed 14 goals the season but have struggled on offense, scoring 11. The point leader for the team is Carter Rowney with just four points. Max Comtois continues to lead the team with three goals.

Arizona loss to Vegas on Sunday, 1-0. They received an outstanding performance out of Darcy Kuemper, who stopped 26 shots, however his team provided him with no support, taking just 16 shots on the Vegas goal.

The loss moved Arizona to 2-3-1, last in the West Division. Kuemper lowered his GAA to 2.79 and has a save percentage of .906. Conor Garland is the point leader with six. Phil Kessel has four goals to lead the team.

NHL Pick – Arizona Coyotes (-135)
NHL Spread – Anaheim Ducks +1.5 (-231)
Game Totals Pick – Under 5.5 (-125)
