Buffalo Sabres @ New Jersey Devils – 7:00 PM ET

Buffalo snapped a three-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over New Jersey on Saturday. Buffalo faces the New York Islanders on Monday, but this preview was written prior to the conclusion of that game. Buffalo is 5-7-2 with a -8 goal differential.

They will start Linus Ullmark in net on Tuesday. Ullmark has started nine games with a 2.61 GAA and a .909 save percentage. He stopped 25 of 27 shots in the victory over New Jersey.

New Jersey is 6-5-2. They lost to the Washington Capitals on Sunday, 4-3, for their second straight defeat. Kyle Palmieri had two assists in the loss giving him nine points, second on the team.

Jack Hughes added his fourth goal of the season to give him a team-leading 11 points. Mackenzie Blackwood will get the start. He stopped 26 of 29 shots in the loss to Buffalo. Blackwood has started six games this season with a 2.12 GAA and a .938 save percentage.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Washington Capitals – 7:00 PM ET

Pittsburgh defeated the New York Islanders on Saturday, 3-2. It was their second straight victory and their fourth in the last five. Pittsburgh is now 9-6-1. However, they have struggled on the road at 2-5-1.

Tristan Jarry stopped 33 of 35 shots in the victory over New York. He will be in net for Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Jarry has started 11 games with a 3.30 GAA and a .892 save percentage. Sidney Crosby had two assists in the victory, giving him 15 points, tied for the team lead.

Washington defeated New Jersey on Sunday, 4-3. That moved them to 2-1-0 through the first three games of their five-game homestand. The Capitals are 9-5-3 and are 6-3-1 at home this season.

Nicklas Backstrom added two assists in the win and TJ Oshie scored two goals and added an assist. Backstrom leads the team with 22 points. Oshie now has 12 points. Ilya Samsonov will get the start. He has started two games this season and has a 3.36 GAA and a .868 save percentage.

Chicago Blackhawks @ Columbus Blue Jackets – 7:00 PM ET

Chicago lost to Carolina 5-3 on Friday. That moved the Blackhawks to 9-6-4. They are 4-4-3 on the road this season. Chicago will start Kevin Lankinen between the pipes. He has started 13 games this season with a 2.42 GAA and a .927 save percentage. Forward Patrick Kane has been on a tear of late, recording nine points in his last five games and has 19 points in his last 10.

Columbus lost to Nashville on Saturday, 4-2. The Blue Jackets are 8-7-4 overall and are 5-3-2 at home this season. They have a -9 goal differential. Elvis Merzlikins will be starting his eighth game of the year. He has a 2.81 GAA and a .917 save percentage. Cam Atkinson and Oliver Bjorkstrand lead the team with 14 points each.

Montréal Canadiens @ Ottawa Senators – 7:00 PM ET

Montréal was swept this past weekend, losing 5-3 to Toronto before falling in overtime to Ottawa on Sunday, 3-2. The Canadians are struggling to score of late, scoring 13 goals over their last seven games.

Jake Allen was solid against Ottawa, stopping 36 of 39 shots. It will be Carey Price in net on Tuesday. Price has started 10 games with a 2.87 GAA and a .893 save percentage. The Canadiens are 9-5-3 but are 6-0-3 on the road this season.

With the victory, Ottawa moved to 5-14-1. They doubled their home wins, now at 2-5-1. Ottawa is playing better of late, going 4-6-0 over their last 10 games.

Matt Murray stopped 30 of 32 shots in the victory over Montréal on Sunday. He has started 15 games with a 3.66 GAA and a .883 save percentage. With a goal and an assist on Sunday, Brady Tkachuk now leads the team with six goals and 13 points.

Nashville Predators  @ Detroit Red Wings – 7:30 PM ET

Nashville defeated Columbus on Saturday, 4-2. The Predators are 7-10-0 with a -17 goal differential. They have been terrible on the road at 2-6-0. Pekka Rinne stopped 21 of 23 shots in the victory and Calle Jarnkrok scored two goals.

It will be Juuse Saros in net on Tuesday. He has appeared in 10 games with a 3.47 GAA and a .82 save percentage. Filip Forsberg had a goal in the victory, giving him a team-leading eight goals and 15 points. Forsberg is the only player on Nashville with at least 10 points.

Detroit defeated Florida on Saturday, 2-1. Jonathan Bernier stopped 38 of 39 shots. Detroit is now 5-12-3 overall and are 3-5-2 at home this season. Thomas Greiss will get the start. He has appeared in 14 games with a 3.16 GAA and a .891 save percentage. Dylan Larkin added an assist in the victory over Florida giving him a team-leading 11 points.

Edmonton Oilers @ Vancouver Canucks – 10:00 PM ET

Edmonton is surging, winning their third straight game with a 7-1 victory over Calgary on Saturday. The Oilers are now 12-8-0 with a +10 goal differential. They are 6-3-0 on the road this season. Mikko Koskinen stopped 43 of 44 shots and Connor McDavid scored three goals and added two assists in the victory.

With the five points, McDavid now has an NHL leading 37. He is tied for second in the league in goals with 12 and is first in assists with 25. Koskinen now has a 3.26 GAA and a .901 save percentage in 15 appearances.

Vancouver lost to Winnipeg in overtime on Sunday, 4-3. The Canucks are 8-12-2 with a -13 goal differential. Vancouver is 5-4-2 at home. Elias Pettersson scored two goals in the loss. He now has seven goals and 16 points.

Brock Boeser had an assist in the game, giving him a team-leading 22 points. Thatcher Demko will be in net. He has started 12 games with a 3.31 GAA and a .901 save percentage. This
