Seattle Kraken @ Winnipeg Jets – 2.00PM ET

The final game of the regular season will feature two teams that will not be making an appearance in the playoffs for the 2021-2022 season. The Seattle Kraken come into this clash having just put an end to their four game losing streak, as last time out they beat the Sharks, 3-0. The Jets are currently on a three game winning streak, which includes wins over the Avalanche, Flyers and Flames.

Marko Nadin

The Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken will play the last game of the NHL season which will not make any difference as both teams will miss the playoffs. The Jets are 11th in the Western Conference with a 38-32-11 where they will finish regardless of the outcome of this game. The Kraken are finishing their first season in the league at second to last place in the Western Conference as they have a 27-48-6 record.

Winnipeg won both games this season, 5-3 at home in February and 3-0 on the road in December. The Jets have won 5 of the last 6 games against teams with a losing record under 40% and 7 of the last 9 games against Western Conference opponents. The Kraken have won 7 of the last 8 games against teams with a losing record but have lost 19 of the last 26 games when their opponent allows 2 goals or less in their previous game and 20 of the last 27 games following a win.

Marko’s NHL Pick: Seattle Kraken (+158)

Tony Battalio

This is the final game of the 2021-22 National Hockey League season. It has been a long grueling year and for 14 teams it’s over, as 16 playoff teams will gear up for the postseason. For these two teams in this game, their season will end once the final buzzer goes off. It has been a tough season for both the Seattle Kraken and the Winnipeg Jets. As the Seattle Kraken will be wrapping up their first season in the National Hockey League well under .500 with a record of 27-48-6 heading into this one.

The Winnipeg Jets are coming into this game with a record of 38-32-11. They haven’t had the best season and they are still going to finish the season below the .500 mark. They will be looking towards the draft and the off-season free agency market to improve their team heading into next year. If they can add a few more pieces they can become a series playoff contender. As for the result of this game, I am taking the Seattle Kraken to pick up the win.

Tony’s NHL Pick: Seattle Kraken (+158)

Jeffery Thomas

The 2022 NHL regular season is over for 30 of 32 teams and on Sunday we will see the season conclude for the final two. Those teams are the Winnipeg Jets and Seattle Kraken. The Jets will play host to the Kraken who are wrapping up their inaugural season. It wasn’t much of a success this year for the Kraken, who currently have the third-least amount of points in the entire league, but this year was something they can learn from and build on as a franchise. The Jets had a disappointing season and will be missing the postseason for the first time in five seasons.

Their fans will see their guys for the final time on Sunday and will hope for a win and some positive momentum heading into what they will deem as a revenge season in 2023. The two meetings this season between these clubs have been dominated by the Winnipeg Jets and I see this last game of the season going similar to the February 17 game between these two. The Jets won that one 5-3 at home and were able to cover the spread against the lowly Kraken.

Jeffery’s NHL Pick: Winnipeg Jets -1.5 (+126)
