St. Louis Blues @ Arizona Coyotes – 4:00 PM ET

St. Louis defeated Arizona in overtime on Saturday, 5-4. That gives them two straight victories over the Coyotes after Friday’s 4-1 victory. Ivan Barbashev and Mike Hoffman each had a goal and an assist in the game. That moved to St. Louis to 9-4-2, first in the West Division.

They have scored 52 goals while allowing 48. Jordan Binnington will be in net for the Blues. In his 11 starts he has a 2.50 GAA and a .916 save percentage. David Perron is the team leader in assists (10) and points (15). Brayden Schenn leads the team in goals was seven.


The two consecutive losses dropped ed Arizona to 6-6-2. They have scored 39 goals while allowing 42. The team is now 3-3-2 at home this season.

Darcy Kuemper will be between the pipes for the Coyotes. He has also started 11 games, posting a 2.46 GAA and a .913 save percentage. Conor Garland leads the team in points with 14. Christian Dvorak is the leading goal scorer with seven.

New York Islanders @ Buffalo Sabres – 7:00 PM ET

New York defeated the Boston Bruins on Saturday, 4-2. That moved the Islanders to 6-4-3, tied for third in the East. They have scored 32 goals while allowing 33. Jean Gabriel Pageau scored two goals for New York and Semyon Varlamov stopped 28 of 30 shots.

The win gives New York victories in three of their last four games. Varlamov will be back between the pipes on Monday. He has a 1.98 GAA and a .930 save percentage in 10 starts. Mathew Barzal leads the team in points with 14.


Buffalo had their last two contests against Washington postponed to a meeting they have not taken to the ice since January 31. It will be interesting to see how this team responds after such a long layoff.

The Sabres are now 4-4-2, last in the East, but have played at least three fewer games than everyone else in the division except for New Jersey. Buffalo has scored 30 goals while allowing 32. Linus Ullmark will get the start. In six games he is a 2.56 GAA and a .914 save percentage. Jack Eichel leads the team with 11 points.

Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs – 7:00 PM ET

Ottawa defeated Winnipeg on Saturday, 2-1. That moves the Senators to 3-12-1. They have scored 34 goals while allowing 64, giving them a -30-goal differential, worst in the NHL. Marcus Hogberg was outstanding between the pipes, stopping 30 of 31 shots.

Ottawa is suddenly getting a lot better goaltending, allowing three goals or last in five of their last six games. Matt Murray will get the start on Monday. He has a 3.69 GAA and a .882 save percentage and 11 starts. The Senators are one of just two teams whose leading scorer does not have at least 10 points. Brady Tkachuk leads the team with nine.


Toronto lost to Montréal on Saturday, 2-1. Frederik Andersen played well, stopping 23 of 25 shots but was outdueled by Carey Price. Toronto is now 11-3-1, first in the North.

They have scored 53 goals while allowing 38, giving them a +15-goal differential, tops in the division. They are 6-2-0 at home. Andersen will be back between the pipes. He has a 2.55 GAA and a .909 save percentage in 13 starts. Mitchell Marner leads the team in points with 22.

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Carolina Hurricanes – 7:00 PM ET

Chicago defeated Columbus on Saturday in overtime, 3-2. The Blue Jackets had beaten the Blackhawks on Thursday 6-5. Columbus is now 7-5-4, tied for second in the Central Division. They have scored 47 goals while allowing 53. The Blue Jackets are 3-3-2 on the road.

These teams split a pair of games last week with Carolina winning on Sunday, 6-5 and Columbus returning the favor on Monday, 3-2. Elvis Merzlikins will get the start. He has made six appearances, posting a 2.76 GAA and .913 save percentage. Cam Atkinson and Oliver Bjorkstrand are tied for the team lead in points with 12.


Carolina swept two games over the weekend against the Dallas Stars, winning on Saturday 4-3 in a shootout. The Hurricanes are now 9-3-0, scoring 43 goals while allowing 33. The Hurricanes are 3-0-0 at home this season.

James Reimer gets the start on Monday. He has a 3.11 GAA and a .889 save percentage in seven appearances. Carolina is led in scoring by three players who each have 12. That includes Jordan Staal who scored his fourth goal of the season on Saturday.

Florida Panthers @ Tampa Bay Lightning – 7:00 PM ET

Florida was dominated by Tampa Bay on Saturday, 6-1. That came two nights after the Panthers had defeated the Lightning, 5-2. Florida is now 8-2-2, tied for second in the Central. They have scored 38 goals while allowing 36 and are 3-0-1 on the road this season.

Sergei Bobrovsky will be on the net on Monday. He has made seven starts, posting a 3.33 GAA and a .884 save percentage. The Panthers are led in scoring by Jonathan Huberdeau with 15 points.


Tyler Johnson scored two goals in the victory over Florida and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 33 saves. Tampa Bay is in first in the Central Division with a 10-2-1 record. They have scored 50 goals while allowing 26, giving them a +24-goal differential, best in the NHL.

Tampa Bay is a perfect 6-0-0 at home. Vasilevskiy will be back between the pipes on Monday. He has started 12 of the team’s 13 games, posting a 1.92 GAA and a .933 save percentage. Brayden Point leads the team in scoring with 16 points.

Chicago Blackhawks @ Detroit Red Wings – 7:30 PM ET

Chicago defeated Columbus in overtime on Saturday, 3-2. The Blackhawks are now 7-5-4, tied for second in the Central. They have scored 47 goals while allowing 49. Kevin Lankinen had an outstanding start for the Blackhawks, stopping 29 of 31 shots.

It was an impressive rebound after allowing six goals to Columbus two days earlier. Lankinen now has a 2.49 GAA and a .925 save percentage 11 starts. Chicago is led in scoring by Patrick Kane with 22 points. He has 11 points over his last five games.


Detroit defeated Nashville on Saturday, 4-2. That snapped a two-game losing streak. The Red Wings are 4-10-2, scoring 33 goals while allowing 51. Their -18 goal differential is last in the division.

Jonathan Bernier stopped 21 of 23 shots in the victory over Nashville and Luke Glendening had a goal and two assists. Thomas Greiss will get the start on Monday. He has a 2.91 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Anthony Mantha, Dylan Larkin, and Filip Hronek lead the team with nine points.

Nashville Predators @ Dallas Stars – 8:30 PM ET

Detroit defeated Nashville on Saturday, 4-2. The Predators are 6-9-0, scoring 36 goals while allowing 52. The -16 goal differential is second worst in the division. Nashville is 1-5-0 on the road the season. Juuse Saros will get the start for Nashville.

He has appeared in nine games this season, posting a 3.66 GAA and a .880 save percentage. Nashville is led in scoring by Filip Forsberg with 14 points. He leads the team in goals (7) and assists (7). No other player has more than eight points.


Dallas lost to Carolina in overtime on Saturday, 4-3. They have now lost five straight games. The Stars are 5-3-4, scoring 40 goals while allowing 34. Goaltending is all of a sudden a major issue for Dallas as they allowed nine total goals in the two games against the Hurricanes.

Anton Khudobin has appeared in seven games, with a 2.75 GAA and a .902 save percentage. Joe Pavelski leads the team in points with 17, including nine goals. However, after scoring seven points in his first two games, he has 10 over the last 10.

Winnipeg Jets @ Edmonton Oilers – 9:00 PM ET

Winnipeg lost Ottawa on Saturday, 2-1. The Jets are now 8-5-1, fourth in the North. They have scored 47 goals while allowing 38. Winnipeg is 2-2-0 on the road the season. Connor Hellebuyck has started 11 of the team’s 14 games this season and has been outstanding.

The Winnipeg netminder has a 2.36 GAA and a .921 save percentage. Winnipeg is getting plenty of production out of their offense, led by Mark Scheifele with 18 points.


Edmonton defeated Montréal last Thursday, 3-0. That was their third straight victory. The Oilers are 9-7-0, third in the North. They have scored 55 goals while allowing 52. Mikko Koskinen will get the start for the Oilers.

He has started 13 games this season, posting a 3.43 GAA and a .895 save percentage. The duo of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl continue to be brilliant. McDavid leads the team in goals (9), assists (19) and the points (28). Draisaitl is one behind him in goals and assists and two behind him and points.

Calgary Flames @ Vancouver Canucks – 10:00 PM ET

Calgary lost to Vancouver on Saturday, 3-1. That snapped the Flames three-game winning streak. Calgary is 7-6-1, fifth in the North. They have scored 40 goals while allowing 37. Jakob Markstrom continues to shine for the Flames.

He has started 12 of the team’s 14 games, posting a 2.33 GAA and a .925 save percentage. Johnny Gaudreau leads the team in scoring with eight goals and 15 points. He has scored on eight of his 28 shots this season (20.6%).


Vancouver snapped a six-game losing streak thanks to Thatcher Demko, who stopped 18 of 19 shots. After a terrible four-game stretch of games where the goaltenders allowed 23 total goals, they have settled down over the last three, allowing seven total. Vancouver is now 7-11-0.

They have scored 54 goals while allowing 67. The 67 goals allowed are the most in the NHL. Demko will get a chance to repeat his heroics from Saturday as he will be back in net. The Vancouver netminder has a 3.46 GAA and a .899 save percentage.

Anaheim Ducks @ San Jose Sharks – 10:30 PM ET

Anaheim defeated Vegas on Thursday, 1-0. That moved the Ducks to 6-6-3, tied for third in the West. They have scored 30 goals while allowing 39. Goal scoring has obviously been a serious issue for the team. Max Comtois leads the team with eight points.

His eight points are the lowest of any team leader in the NHL. He also has six goals to lead the team. No other player has more than six points. John Gibson continues to be the backbone of this team. In 12 starts he has a 2.26 GAA and a .923 save percentage.


San Jose lost Vegas on Saturday, 3-1. The Sharks are 5-7-1, last in the West. They have scored 35 goals while allowing 49. The -14 goal differential is the worst in the division.

Martin Jones will be between the pipes for San Jose. He has made nine starts, posting a 3.96 GAA and a .867 save percentage. Logan Couture leads the team in points with 11.
