The Edmonton Oilers (20-16-2) and their opportunistic power play offense host the Seattle Kraken (19-12-4), one of the NHL’s worst penalty killing teams, at Rogers Place on Tuesday. Seattle is playing their first of seven games on the road coming off a 4-1 win over the Islanders on Sunday, snapping a three-game losing streak.
The Kraken committed only two penalties in the game, holding New York without a power play goal. Four players found the net for the Kraken. Vince Dunn and Yanni Gourde both had two assists to lead the team in scoring.
Martin Jones had a great performance with 18 saves (.947%) in the win.Edmonton fell 2-1 to the Jets on Saturday. Klim Kostin netted the only goal for the Oilers. Jack Campbell saved only 15 of 17 shots against (.882%) in the loss.
