The Dallas Stars (28-13-10) and their opportunistic power play offense welcome the Anaheim Ducks (16-29-5), one of the league’s worst penalty killing teams, at American Airlines Center on Monday. Anaheim is coming off a 2-1 overtime win over the Coyotes on January 28, their third win in a row.
The Ducks committed six penalties in the game, though they held Arizona without a power play goal. Max Jones and Trevor Zegras each scored once for the Ducks. John Klingberg had two assists to lead the team in scoring.
John Gibson had a great performance with 33 saves (.970%) in the win. Dallas lost for the third straight game, falling 3-2 (OT) to the Devils on January 27. Ty Dellandrea and Roope Hintz both scored once for the Stars. Jake Oettinger only had 26 saves on 29 shots against (.896%) in the loss.

The teams have split their two meetings this season, the most recent of which was a 2-0 victory for the Ducks in January. Mason McTavish led Anaheim with two points (1G 1A). Gibson saved 35 shots to earn the shutout win.
