Jacksonville Jaguars @ Kansas City Chiefs – 4:30PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Jacksonville Jaguars made an incredible comeback in their wild card round playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers. As they went into halftime down 20 points, and only managing to score seven points of their own while giving up 27 they stormed back in the second half to tie the game and would end up winning the game as well. However, they won’t be able to afford to make the same mistakes that they did last week against this team because if they get down against the Kansas City Chiefs there’s an even slimmer chance of them coming back.

Going into the season, nobody thought the Kansas City Chiefs would be as good as they have been without Tyreek Hill on the roster. However, they proved the doubters wrong, and they once again finished the top seed in the AFC. As long as Patrick Mahomes has been the starting quarterback of this team, they have never fallen short of the AFC championship game. I don’t expect them to fall short either this year as I have the Kansas City Chiefs picking up the victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

KC Chiefs -9.5 (-110)

New York Giants @ Philadelphia Eagles – 8:15PM ET

Tony Battalio

The New York Giants pulled off an incredible upset, and their first round playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings. Despite everyone thinking, Daniel Jones didn’t have what it took to lead them to a playoff victory, he looked absolutely fantastic, and was arguably the best quarterback of round one. Now they will be looking to get another upset this time against their NFC East division rivals, and the number one NFC seed, the Philadelphia Eagles. They will need to play another perfect game if they want to grab the upset in this one.

The Philadelphia Eagles had a tremendous season as trading for AJ Brown on draft night really allowed Jalen Hurts to evolve into one of the best quarterbacks in the league. Now they will look to keep that momentum rolling through the playoffs in advance to the NFC championship game with a win at home here in this one. The last time the Eagles made it to the NFC championship game they would go on to win the Super Bowl so they will also be hoping that history repeats itself. I have them picking up the win in this one in a closer game than people think. Which is why I’m taking the New York Giants to cover the spread.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

NY Giants +7.5 (-110)

Sunday, January 22nd

Cincinnati Bengals @ Buffalo Bills – 3PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Cincinnati Bengals first round playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens was a lot closer than many people would’ve expected. As it took essentially a once in a lifetime, type of play and 100 yard fumble return for the Cincinnati Bengals to pull ahead and pull away for good. Now they will meet up with the Buffalo Bills for the second time in the last four weeks and they will be playing a full game after their game on Monday night a few weeks ago was stopped due to a medical emergency.

The Buffalo Bills will be playing their first playoff game of the year, but it won’t be at home despite them being the home team as they will be playing in a neutral site because of their opponent being the Bengals. This one should be probably the best playoff game of the year in my opinion. As both these teams are heavyweights and the winner will likely face off with the Kansas City Chiefs. I expect it to be back-and-forth throughout the entire game but in the end I have the Cincinnati Bengals pulling the upset and advancing to their 2nd AFC title game in a row.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

Cincinnati Bengals (+200)

Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers – 6PM ET

Tony Battalio

The Dallas Cowboys looked absolutely dominant in their first round playoff win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Tom Brady on the road. The office looked unstoppable and the defense looked unbeatable. The only facet of their game that looked weak was their kicking as they missed four extra points. They certainly won’t be able to afford to make the same mistakes in this game against the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC divisional round matchup.

The San Francisco 49ers have been red hot, and Brock Purdy would likely be the rookie of the year if he started the full season. Since coming in for Jimmy Garoppolo, they have not lost a game and now they have their sights set on making it to the NFC championship game. In my opinion, I have them pegged to be the NFC representative for the Super Bowl with the way they have been playing lately. I can’t see anybody beating them. That’s what I expect in this one as I have the 49ers picking up the victory over the Dallas Cowboys at home.

SportsTips’ NFL Pick:

SF Forty Niners (-200)
