Joe Burrow, Jaylen Hurts and Chase Young Finalists for Maxwell Award

Finalists for the nine major awards to be handed out on December 12 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta were announced on Monday, and it was no surprise to see the nation’s biggest stars dominating the headlines.

LSU QB Joe Burrow, Oklahoma QB Jaylen Hurts and Ohio State DE Chase Young were named as finalists for the Maxwell Award for the nation’s top player, while Ohio State QB Justin Fields joined the other two signal-callers as a finalist for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award.

Auburn DT Derrick Brown and Clemson LB Isaiah Simmons join Young as finalists for the Chuck Bednarik Award for the nation’s top defensive player.

Dane Roy, Houston (Sr.), Max Duffy, Kentucky (Jr.), Sterling Hofrichter, Syracuse (Jr.)

Maxwell Award College Player of the Year:

Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award:
