Are the Kansas City Chiefs Worth Your Super Bowl Bets?
Thu 17th December 2020

The Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites to win Super Bowl LV. They have a +195 line to win their second-straight Super Bowl title. Reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes also has a chance to win the MVP title once again.

The Chiefs are worth the hype and have a strong chance to get back to the Super Bowl. Here are some reasons why the Chiefs are perfect for your Super Bowl bets, including a look at one of the most dynamic offenses in the league.

A Powerful Offense

Part of why the Chiefs have a 12-1 record comes from the Chiefs’ intense offense. The team scores 31 points per game, the league’s second-best total. They also get 318 passing yards per game, the most in the NFL.

Patrick Mahomes has 4,200 yards in thirteen games. Mahomes probably won’t get 1,300 yards in the last three games of the 2020 season to break Peyton Manning’s single-season record, but he has proven himself to be an efficient quarterback. He has 33 touchdowns versus five interceptions, and he completes about 70 percent of his passes.

Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill are Mahomes’ top targets. Both those players have at least a thousand receiving yards. Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson have shown great promise, as has rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire. The first-rounder from LSU has more than 700 rushing yards and nearly 300 receiving yards.

The team’s offense can make its way through even the toughest defenses in the NFL. The team dropped at least thirty points against both the Houston Texans and the Baltimore Ravens early this season. The offense has been so outstanding that coordinator Eric Bienemy has been seen as a favorite to become a head coach somewhere else in 2021.

Don’t Forget the Defense

The Chiefs also have one of the league’s top defenses, giving up 21 points per game. The Chiefs have scored about a hundred more points than their opponents this season.

The Chiefs are one of the league’s top teams in interceptions, as they have fifteen for the season. Tyrann Mathieu has six of them, and he returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown. Daniel Sorenson also has three interceptions with one for a touchdown.

The team is also a threat in the sacking game, as Chris Jones has 6.5 sacks while Mike Danna and Tershawn Wharton are also high on the list. The team has an all-around approach to defense that helps them win games and remain competitive throughout the season.

Should You Bet on the Chiefs?

The Kansas City Chiefs will make an outstanding choice for your Super Bowl betting plans. Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs are adamant on getting back in the Super Bowl and bringing the trophy back to Arrowhead Stadium once again. It will be exciting to see where the Chiefs go throughout the season and how they will continue to be extremely competitive.

The Chiefs have games remaining against the New Orleans Saints, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Los Angeles Chargers. The team is aiming to clinch the top spot in the AFC and to have a first-round bye and home-field advantage during the playoffs. With the strong talent the Chiefs hold, there is a great chance they will get back on top and be the team to beat in the NFL.
