The Boston Celtics come into this game with their backs against the wall, facing elimination during game six in Philadelphia. Boston has been the odds on favorite all season to win the Eastern conference, and now they are in a must win situation and they have to win the last two games in the series if they want to make it to the Eastern conference finals. They took a two games to one lead at one point, but they’ve been unable to pick up the victory in the last two games and now they have to win this one in Philadelphia on the road to keep their season alive.

The Philadelphia 76ers come into this game in a great situation. They are on a two game win streak during the series, and they are one victory away from knocking out the Boston Celtics in advancing to the Eastern conference finals against the winner of the Miami Heat and New York Knicks series. Most valuable player award winner. Joel Embiid has looked fantastic during this series, and James Harden has played incredible as well. Philadelphia now has an opportunity to close this series out at home here on Thursday night. However, I don’t see that happening as I think Boston will force a game seven in the series.

Denver Nuggets @ Phoenix Suns – 10pm ET

The Denver Nuggets come into this game on the road with an opportunity to close out the Phoenix Suns and advance to the Western Conference finals. However, they have yet to pick up a victory on the road during the second round series so it’ll be interesting to see if they can do that and avoid having a winner takes all game seven later this week at home in Denver. Former most valuable player award winner. Nikola Jokić has looked absolutely incredible and his supporting cast has done the dirty work to help Denver take a three games to two lead over, arguably the best roster in the NBA this season.

The Phoenix Suns come into this one with their backs against the wall, facing elimination, hoping to force a game seven with a victory here on Thursday night at home. With a three headed monster, like Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton, a lot of people pencilled in Phoenix as the eventual NBA champions, when they made the move for Durant at the trade deadline. They will be hoping that they can get Chris Paul back for the stretch run of the season if they can force a game seven here in this one on Thursday night at home. That is exactly what I expect as I look for the Phoenix Suns to pick up the victory in this game and avoid elimination.
