The Wizards are 11th in the Eastern Conference. The teams are meeting for the final time this season. After taking both of the earlier season meetings against Washington, the last of which was a 113-107 victory at Barclays Center on November 30, Brooklyn will be aiming for a season sweep.
Kevin Durant led the Nets with 39 points. Porzingis had 27 points and 19 rebounds in the losing effort.Durant is averaging 30.0 points per game, best in the NBA, to lead the Nets in scoring this season. Durant also has dished 5.4 assists per game, most in the NBA. Meanwhile, Nicolas Claxton is grabbing 8.7 rebounds.
Porzingis (22.7 ppg) and Kuzma (21.4) have powered the Wizards’ offense. Porzingis leads the league in scoring, while Kuzma is first. Porzingis also has averaged 9.1 rebounds per game, most in the NBA. Monte Morris has doled out 5.2 assists per game. The Nets are one of the most accurate field goal shooting teams in the NBA, ranking second at 50.0%.
