Minnesota got the win on Wednesday at Target Center, beating the Golden State Warriors 119-114 in overtime. D’Angelo Russell scored 29 to lead the team in scoring. With 24 points, 13 rebounds, and four assists, Naz Reid also had a strong game. The Timberwolves are ninth in the Western Conference.
This is the last meeting of the season between the teams. Minnesota will be pursuing a season sweep against Orlando after getting the win in the only prior matchup 126-108 at Amway Center in November 2022. Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 35 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
Bol Bol had 26 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks in defeat. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, averaging 20.5 and 19.8 points per game, respectively, have led the Magic in scoring this season. Banchero also has dished 3.6 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Bol is grabbing 6.6 rebounds per game. Edwards (24.9 ppg) has powered the T’Wolves’ offense. Rudy Gobert is averaging 11.8 rebounds per game, third-most in the league, and Russell is doling out 6.2 assists.
