The Golden State Warriors (26-24, 7-18 Away), one of the NBA’s top scoring teams, are on the road to face the Minnesota Timberwolves (27-26, 18-11 Home) on Wednesday. Golden State defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 128-120 at Paycom Center on Monday, their third win in a row.
Stephen Curry led the way with 38 points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds. The Warriors are the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
Minnesota lost on Monday at Target Center, falling to the Sacramento Kings 118-111 in overtime. Anthony Edwards had 33 points and eight rebounds in defeat, leading the team.
The Timberwolves are sixth in the Western Conference. This marks the last meeting of the season between the teams. Golden State will be pursuing a season sweep against Minnesota after coming out on top in the only previous meeting 137-114 at Target Center in November 2022.
Curry led the Warriors with 25 points, while Draymond Green played a key role with 19 points and 11 assists. Edwards had 26 points in the loss.The Warriors have been led this season by Curry, who is averaging 29.7 points per game, eighth-highest in the NBA.
Meanwhile, Kevon Looney is grabbing 8.6 rebounds per game, and Green is dishing 6.8 assists. Edwards’ 24.9 points per game have powered the T’Wolves on offense. Rudy Gobert is collecting 11.8 rebounds per game, third-most in the NBA, and D’Angelo Russell is recording 6.3 assists.
The Warriors rank as one of the most explosive offenses in the league, second-best with 118.1 points per game. The Warriors have struggled in recent trips to Target Center, losing eight of the last 10.
