The Memphis Grizzlies (28-13, 10-10 Away), the NBA’s top shooting defense, are on the road to face the Indiana Pacers (23-20, 15-8 Home) on Saturday. Memphis beat the San Antonio Spurs 135-129 at FedExForum on Wednesday, their eighth win in a row.

Bennedict Mathurin topped the scoresheet in defeat with 26 points. With 17 points and 10 rebounds, Oshae Brissett also had a strong game. The Pacers are seventh in the Eastern Conference.
The teams are meeting for the first time this season. Memphis won both matchups between the teams last season, the last of which was a 133-103 triumph at FedExForum in March 2022.
Desmond Bane led the Grizzlies with 30 points. Lance Stephenson had 25 points in defeat. Morant is averaging 27.6 points per game, 10th-highest in the league, to lead the Grizzlies in scoring this season. Morant also has dished 7.9 assists per game, fifth-most in the league. Meanwhile, Steven Adams is grabbing 11.5 rebounds.
Tyrese Haliburton (20.2 ppg), Buddy Hield (18.3), and Mathurin (17.4) have supplied much of the Pacers’ offense. Haliburton also has distributed 10.2 assists per game, most in the league. Meanwhile, Myles Turner has posted 7.9 rebounds per game.
Foes are shooting 44.5% from the field against the Grizzlies, ranking as the league’s toughest FG% defense. The Pacers have found success in the Grizzlies’ last 10 trips to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, winning seven. Memphis has won three in a row away from home this season.
